Versace has named Madonna, notorious icon of the 80s, 90s, and well, the indefinite future, its spokesperson for the fourth time. Madonna replaces last year’s face (and rumored rival) Lady Gaga in next spring’s campaign: a 12-page spread where she appears ageless, wild, and every bit in step with her younger self.

This latest collaboration between the superstar and the luxury fashion house will appear in Vanity Fair and the American, French, and Italian editions of Vogue. Of Madonna’s persona, Donatella Versace tells the New York Times, “She is her own woman, a role model who shows other women how we can do what we want, and get what we want, and do so for all of our lives, with no compromise.”

Madonna’s triumphant return marks 10 years since her last partnership with Versace. For the woman who literally taught us how to vogue, it’s only right that she revisit the pages to remind us how it’s done.

This Friday marks a major moment for Versace, as the luxe Italian fashion house prepares to open a new boutique in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest shopping centers. And just like that, the Canals of Venice got pushed to my number two must-see Italian attraction.

The opening is part of a larger renovation project that Versace has taken on: refurbishing the entire four-story Galleria. The label will spend nearly $2 million on the restoration of the crumbling landmark. Originally constructed in 1865, the Galleria was in dire need of a facelift, which should be completed next spring.

In the meantime, I’ll be dreaming of the mall that fuses haute couture and history.

Here comes the bride – in Atelier Versace. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were married in an under-wraps wedding at the couple’s home in Marseille, France just last weekend. Of course, everyone’s been dying to knowWho was she wearing?

In true Brangelina fashion, the gown had a creative and totally cute twist. Luigi Massi, master tailor at the famed Italian fashion house and a longtime family friend, embroidered drawings sketched by their six kids onto the veil and gown.  Angelina completed the chic, custom look with white silk Versace pumps.

Keep on sketching, Jolie-Pitt children. I see some runway designs in your future.

Awards season isn’t letting up anytime soon. Next on the list? The Oscars – and when it comes to Academy fashion, we’re totally on board with Hollywood stylist Brad Goreski’s dress predictions.

1. Jennifer Lawrence recently signed on for three more years with Christian Dior. So we all know what she’s wearing.

2. Goreski wants to see Sandra Bullock in Versace, and why not? Gaga isn’t the only girl who can rock it.

3. Claiming with confidence that Cate Blanchett will likely wear Givenchy, we think this stylist may have just have insider information.

4. Lupita Nyong’o has been lighting up the red carpet in American designs. So, Goreski thinks it’s time she works it the Parisian way – in Chanel.

5. We didn’t get a prediction on this one, but we’re putting our money on Amy Adams wearing Ralph Lauren.

From Versace to Valentino, take a peek behind the labels that have defined men’s formalwear. Through trial, tribulation, unexpected deaths, and iconic on-screen moments, these luxury houses continue to rule the fashion roost.

Brioni
Founded in Rome, 1945

Classic cuts made for the ever-confident guy, charismatic businessman, and bona fide bad boy. Brioni is known as the official suit of James Bond (worn by actors Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig) and was made infamous by New York crime boss John Gotti of the Gambino family – who earned his nickname, “Dapper Don,” thanks to his extensive wardrobe of custom Brioni suits. These timeless pieces were also favorites of handsome Hollywood hall-of-famers Clark Gable and Cary Grant, and can be seen on today’s red carpets on the likes of Al Pacino, Kirk Douglas, and Donald Trump.

Versace
Founded in Milan, 1978

Contemporary, one-of-a-kind, stand-out-from-the-crowd pieces, these suits are for the man who likes to make an entrance. Worn famously by rap stars and musicians alike, the distinguished Versace name is associated with glamour and over-the-top chic. Elton John dons Versace duds encrusted with diamonds or crystals. Versace designs were also favorites of the late rap star Tupac Shakur and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
