Here at Rue, we’re big fans of impromptu dance sessions – especially down in the studio. So we’re always on the lookout for the next best thing in music. Our new favorite toy? Velodyne’s vFree Headphones (or, as we like to call them, the headphones that instantly make us better dancers). Okay, kidding. They don’t. They just silence the laughter. But we love them anyway. Here’s why:

They’re wire-free and offer Bluetooth® connectivity.
Meaning we can dance no matter what we’re doing. Cubemates, you’ve been warned.

They’re customizable.
With a slew of personalized skins to choose from, they’ll go with every outfit we own.

They bring the bass.
This brand changed the subwoofer landscape forever with its reproduction of low-frequency sound. So you better believe the same kind of innovative technology has gone into these headphones.

They’re collapsible.
So when we want to rock that tiny clutch, there’s no need to leave them at home – they’ll still fit.

Our Velodyne Headphones Boutique opened Tuesday, June 18, at 3PM ET.

Blaring music has always been a photo-shoot must. And while we were taking snaps of Velodyne’s eye-catching headphones, we couldn’t help but turn our favorite jams up a little bit louder (hey, it’s a music event, right?). Take a peek at what made our playlist:

1. “No Church in the Wild” by Kanye West and Jay-Z
Because right now we’re still pretty much obsessed with everything Great Gatsby.

2. “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
You can’t not feel pumped up after listening to this song.

3. “Anything Could Happen” by Ellie Goulding
Ellie stopped by our studio just a couple of years ago, and let’s just say, her personality and style are as sweet as her vocals.

4. “Come & Get It” by Selena Gomez
Confession: We’re all secretly huge Selena Gomez fans.

5. “Dancing on My Own” by Robyn
You know that scene in Girls? Yeah, spur-of-the-moment dance parties have always been big thing at Rue.

6. “I Feel the Earth Move” by Carole King
An oldie-but-ALWAYS-goodie.

7. “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond
#BostonStrong

8. “Material Girl” by Madonna
Because who doesn’t love the queen of pop?
