BLG-1521.2 Pinboards. Posting Tuesday, 6.11

1. Decide Sunday’s menu together – with help from an all-about-grilling Pinboard.

2. Check out these gift ideas for the has-everything dad with a sense of humor.

3. Is Dad techy or handy? There’s bound to be something here that hasn’t yet made it onto his desk or workbench.

4. Maybe a new jacket or tie is all he needs to feel young and dapper on his special day.

5. Football season is 86 days away. Which, to Dad, is 86 days too long. Soften the blow.

It’s my experience that many dads (full disclosure: I only have one, so I may be slightly biased) have a whole lot of a few things. Baseball hats. Ties. The same wool sweaters from that one store he’s shopped at since he was 18. One reason being, he knows what he likes, or – ahem – what he thinks he likes. And the rest of us take his enduring, but age-old, style as our gift-giving cues.

In an effort to think outside the obligatory tie box, use this chart to find your starting point. Whether you decide Dad’s in need of luxe loafers from a label he’s never tried, a new watch, or a bundle of socks (because he never buys them for himself), we’re confident this year’s best-gift award will go to you.

Our What Dad Wants: Gifts for Father’s Day Boutique opens Tuesday, May 14, at 3PM ET.
