With so many watches and bracelets to choose from, Links of London makes for endless stacking possibilities. Just check out how three of our very own associates mixed and matched their favorite pieces to create looks all their own.

How Rue Associates Style Links of London

Nicole A., Fashion Editor
“White, silver, and gold is such a versatile palette. For an extra feminine touch, I added a sleek charm bracelet.”

Alexandra R., Lead Stylist
“Leather-strap watches are back this season, and they make layering super easy. I went with a pebbled style and mixed in a bit of edge with woven bracelets.”

Lindsey D., Assistant Men’s Fashion Editor
“I bought this watch for my boyfriend. Unfortunately for him, I love how it looks layered with my delicate bracelets.”

Our Links of London Boutique opens Friday, April 18, at 11AM ET.

With summer in full swing, there’s no better time to load up those bare arms with bangles, wrap bracelets, and watches galore. And, as far as I’m concerned, there’s really no wrong way to do it. But in the event that you’re a novice, here are a few tips for perfecting that oh-so-customizable stack.

BLG-1599-Boutique-Support-Curated-Arm-CandyPlay with (not-so) heavy metal. Whether silver, gold, rose gold, copper, or brass, metals are infinitely mixable. Stick to a single color. Combine silver and gold pieces. Mix them all up. Then go ahead and wear with everything from a sophisticated sheath to a casual tank top and cutoffs.

Experiment with mixed media. Start with a leather wrap bracelet in a neutral hue, add a colorful enamel bangle (or two, or seven), and throw on a stainless steel watch. Then repeat – if you want. When your arm candy is eclectic through and through, you can get away with loading up on anything and everything. Just keep the rest of your look simple.

Pick a piece that does the work for you. Nervous about taking the plunge? Designers aplenty have gotten savvy to the art of the stack. Consider wrap watches and bracelet sets from Sara Designs, Tai, Amrita Singh, and more – they’re the proverbial training wheels you need to get started. When you’re ready, use them as the base for that every-piece-in-the-jewelry-box armload you’ve been working toward.

When it comes to the art of bracelet stacking, I have to be honest – there are very few rules. In my book, you can pile them up to your elbows until your coworkers kick you out of the cubicle quad for being the loudest typer ever. But, until then, mix metal chains with leather, studs with smooth watch faces, and soft hues with bold ones. As long as it’s eclectic, it will work.
