A beach is a beach is a beach, right? Wrong. Here, we scoped out five of the best, so instead of researching the perfect location, you can focus on choosing the perfect bikini to wear.
Elafonisi Beach, Greece
Pink sand. You read that right. In certain lights, this Greek beach has a rose-colored hue, thanks to a mix of fine red coral. The contrast of the pink to clear blue water is beyond majestic. What more could a girl want?
Anse Source d’Argent, Seychelles
With towering granite boulders and tranquil turquoise water, this whole archipelago (made up of 115 islands) gets top honors. After all, National Geographic ranked its shores number one in the world – that’s no joke.
Bioluminescent Beach, Maldives
Picture thousands of glowing specks spanning an entire coastline. The cause? Small organisms that light up when the water breaks. Fun fact: Scenes from Life of Pi were filmed here.
Hidden Beach, Mexico
Yes, it truly is hidden. In fact, you have to snorkel through a 40-foot tunnel just to get there. But this beach isn’t exactly natural. Turns out, the idyllic spot is a result of bomb testing in the early 20th century.
Glass Beach, United States
From trash to treasure. Over the past 50 years in California, a coastline of dazzling sea glass formed from landfill debris. Though the dump site – just north of the area – closed in 1967, its remnants still wash ashore.
Make a splash in our Swimwear & Cover-Ups for the Final Cannonball Boutique, which opens Tuesday, August 11, at 11AM ET.
