Get Dressed: It’s Guys’ Night Out

Fast-forward to Saturday night. You’re planning to hit the bar with the guys, but what are you about to put on? Not that sports jersey. Not a frayed baseball cap. And definitely not the T-shirt you slept in. Here, Rue Stylist Susie L. breaks down how to assemble a laid-back look that works.

How to Dress for Guys' Night

“If you’re planning a casual night out,” Susie says, “let your outfit look and feel that way. It’s simple. Start with a blank canvas – in this case, that’s your go-to pair of dark denim. Then reach for a lightweight knit or Henley shirt.”

You want to keep the look simple, but not too simple. Her solution? “Add the luxe extras. Belts or watches will work well here.” And when it comes to your shoes: “Let the venue dictate the vibe. Clean sneakers are cool, but a chukka boot is ideal for any dress code.”
