Just Say “I Do”: A Recipe for Engagement Chicken

If you like it, put a ring on it. Okay, so I’m not positive Beyoncé was singing about chicken, but stranger things have happened. The gist? Make this recipe for a friend or loved one, and someone will propose. It’s been proven effective on more than one occasion. No, really. We wouldn’t kid about such things.

This citrus-and-herb recipe earned its title from Kimberly Bonnell, a Glamour magazine editor back in the 80s. She passed out the dish to a couple of colleagues, whose significant others just happened to propose post-feast. Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe it was the delicious simplicity of this five-ingredient meal. Or maybe, just maybe: Magic. Is. Real.

You’ll just have to try it and report back.
