A new season always gives me wardrobe fatigue. Yes, I’m the person who stands in front of their closet saying over and over: “I’ve got nothing to wear. No really, I have nothing to wear.” But I discovered a simple remedy to combat this desperate state. And one that actually makes me excited to kick off a new season (yes, even a colder one).

My solution? Choose two or three new trends and then purchase one or two items from each. Not only will you be ahead of the curve, but your significant other (or pet) will never hear you utter those dreaded words again. Here’s my take on the top trends this fall.

Okay, I admit it. I watch The Bachelor (and The Bachelorette). And I’m not the only one. Every Tuesday morning in the Rue offices, it’s always the topic of conversation: What was Andi wearing? Is he [insert name] there for the right reasons? Was it really the “most dramatic rose ceremony ever”? Now that we’ve safely put Juan “It’s okay” Pablo behind us, we can once again focus on someone who really deserves to find love and can look great doing it.

Jackie Nasser on Andi Dorfman's Bachelorette Style

Andi Dorfman has definitely mastered the casual look, from her chic black and white ensemble while on a miming group date in France to her skinny white jeans, sandals, and tunic for the lie-detector test in Italy.  But it’s her more glamorous looks that really shine. Whether in a long, shimmery gown or a sexy cocktail dress, she gets it right every single time.

To pull off an Andi-inspired look, I spoke with Rue La La Dress Buyer (and fellow Bachelor fan) Ilana S. Here, she gives us her tips for the summer wedding season, chic cocktail parties, and even black-tie events:

From bloggers to It girls and editors, the street-style set knows a thing or two about fashion. (Just Google “street style” and you’ll see what we mean.) Want in on their sartorial secret? Below, our fashion director, Jackie, defines the most popular trends coming down the sidewalks.

The Top 3 Street-Style Trends: Our Fashion Director Breaks It Down

1. Bold Printed Dresses
“They’re a summer must-have. Pair with high-wattage extras, like mirrored sunglasses, for more impact.”

2. Edgy-Meets-Refined Ensembles
“Sweet-yet-edgy outfits are everywhere right now. Mix feminine and daring pieces (like an A-line dress and moto jacket) for an instantly cool look.”

3. Statement Accessories
“This season, the bolder the accessories, the better. Try combining studded bags with sky-high heels. And when it comes to jewelry, think big – the right necklace can make even a basic tee shine.”

Our Street-Style Star: Trending Looks to Own Now Boutique opens Wednesday, June 25, at 3PM ET.

The game of fashion musical chairs has finally stopped, and with several big, iconic fashion houses now run by new  – and, in some cases, unexpected – designers, it will be interesting to see how some of our favorite brands (Dior! Vuitton!) will evolve. Here are the four big changes to keep an eye on.

Ever wondered what a typical day is like for our fashion director, Jackie? Well, you’re about to find out. E!, one of our favorite television networks, chose to feature our very own style guru in its “Trendsetters at Work” series. For the piece, E! visited Rue’s New York offices in the heart of Bryant Park to talk style, chic work spaces, and climbing the fashion ladder. Check out a few soundbites below.

How did you get started in your career?
I got an internship at ELLE magazine. I initially had a hybrid role working for both the beauty and the features departments. I got to test out hundreds of new products, learn the science and technology behind beauty products, go to press events and, most importantly, I learned how to write (it’s harder than you think!). Interning is the best way to work out if a job is right for you or not. I knew immediately that I wanted to be in the editorial world. When a fashion position opened up at ELLEgirl magazine I jumped at the chance.

It’s official. Crochet clothing is going to be big this spring – but unlike in past seasons, it’s meant to be more refined than boho-looking. So, to make sure we’re pulling off the 70s-inspired trend in a polished way, we turned to our fashion director, Jackie, for a few tips.

She seemingly came out of nowhere, but now, this girl is on everyone’s radar. And I mean everyone’s. After nabbing the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress from right under Jennifer Lawrence’s nose, stealing the show at every red-carpet event, and sparking dating rumors with fellow Oscar winner Jared Leto (he even referred to her as “my future ex-wife” in one of his acceptance speeches), it’s no wonder we’re all a little Lupita-obsessed right now.

While her performance in 12 Years a Slave got our attention, it’s her unique style that has us all really enthralled. It’s not easy to outshine Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, and Julia Roberts on the red carpet, but somehow, Lupita has managed to do it time and again. Here are my picks for her top five awards-show looks.

The best part about a PANDORA bracelet? The options. With charms in materials from gold to colorful glass, each bracelet you build is bound to be unique. Sometimes, however, having so many options can be a little overwhelming. But not to worry – our Fashion Director, Jackie, is here to help you get started. Just take a look at her tips below.

PANDORA Tips from Jackie Nasser

Step 1: Choose Your Foundation
“Start with a basic gold, silver, or leather bracelet. There’s no wrong style, so just opt for your favorite.”

Step 2: Pick a Theme
“This is the fun part. Pick a meaningful hobby or style, and then stack on the charms. Feel free to mix metals and shapes – there are no rules.”

Step 3: Add Some Color
“Lastly, sprinkle in pops of color to add interest to your bracelet. Just stick to two or three hues for a cohesive look.”

Our PANDORA Boutique opens Tuesday, March 18, at 11AM ET.

For their F/W 2014 collections, designers ditched last season’s pretty pastel hues and instead turned to rich and attention-grabbing colors like burgundy and gold. But what will be the color of fall? Our fashion editor and fashion director each make a case for their favorite below.
