Right now, our Fashion Director, Jackie Nasser, and her (very lucky) team are at New York Fashion Week taking notes on all the latest runway trends. Back at the Boston offices, the rest of us are getting our NYFW fix via Livestream and Pinterest. Thank goodness for social media.

1. Shout-out to Paris, because we wouldn’t have NYFW otherwise.

2. Like it or not, fashion is all about picking favorites.

3. After all the time spent creating their collections, these designers more than deserve a bow at curtain call.

4. Fact: There’s always just as much style outside the tents as there is inside on the runways.

5. If Anna Wintour doesn’t show up, is it even NYFW?

Our boys didn’t make it to the Big Game this year (go Patriots!), but we’ll still be tuning in come Sunday. Hey, who are we to deny buffalo chicken dip?

1. If you need us, we’ll be hibernating in the man cave all day.

2. We wouldn’t dream of missing the Puppy Bowl. These cuties have been training all year, too.

3. Chicken fajita pizza. Avocado fries. Spicy Asian hot wings. We’ll be rolling off the couch after eating all these snacks.

4. Let’s hope the 2014 commercials bring it like the 2013 ones did.

5. Bruno Mars is owning the halftime show this year. And we’re expecting big things.

Since these kids have better wardrobes than us, it’s totally acceptable to be jealous of them. Right?

1. Rachel Zoe styles practically everyone in Hollywood. So it’s hardly surprising that her son Skyler always looks so dapper.

2. You might not see Alia Wang in the tabloids as often as the Jolie-Pitts, but when she shows up, she owns it in street wear.

3. Tabitha and Marion Broderick are double-trouble. Not only do they look alike, they dress (adorably) alike, too.

4. When Kingston Rossdale dyed his mohawk blue at age 6, he pretty much cemented himself as a pint-sized trendsetter.

5. Let’s be real. No list of fashionable kids would be complete without the queen herself, Ms. Suri Cruise.

We’ve been on a movie kick for days (thanks, Golden Globe Awards). And, since we can’t seem to shake the obsession, we figured we’d share some of our favorite fashion flicks – and their heroines – with you.

1. Throw on a little Chanel, and voilà! You’re fabulous. At least that’s what The Devil Wears Prada taught us.

2. With a costume designer like Edith Head, Grace Kelly was destined to look perfect in Rear Window.

3. Imagine being plucked out of a bookstore, only to become the most fashionable model in Paris. Funny Face is our dream come true.

4. Cher Horowitz had a virtual closet. No explanation needed.

5. Surrounded by cake, shoes, and dresses, all day, every day? Marie Antoinette had it made.

Let’s get some shoes. (Remember that viral video? Never gets old.)

1. Christian Louboutins make us see red. Red soles, that is.

2. Sparkles. Bows. Chunky heels. Bring on the Miu Mius.

3. You can always count on Charlotte Olympia designs to look like they came straight out of a fairy tale.

4. Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite shoes? Manolo Blahniks.

5. What would we do without (Jimmy) Choo

In honor of New Year’s Eve, it’s about to go down.

1. This is the absolute epitome of what we want our night to look like.

2. So many fancy drinks. So little time. Cue the coconut Bellinis.

3. Glittering food to match the décor. We can’t get enough.

4. All of these optimistic 2014 sayings are making us a little sentimental (and very excited).

5. Sparklers. Need we say more?

If you’re anything like us, this is how Christmas unfolds.

1. Can’t hold out for dinner? Us either. Thank goodness for hors d’oeuvres.

2. If the rolls are a little burned, present a gorgeous tablescape and no one will notice.

3. Sometimes the main course can be overwhelming (in a good way). So. Many. Options.

4. A tasty meal just isn’t complete without a drink that’s equally delicious.

5. Oh, and did we mention dessert is on the way?

Sure, it’s getting a little late. But you can still grab some gifting inspiration, order, and get it all in time for Christmas.

1. So. Many. Toys. The kids are going to love you for this.

2. Shopping on a budget? (Us, too.) Each of these gifts is sitting pretty at $50 or less.

3. Everyone is getting gifted. Needless to say, your home also deserves a little extra love.

4. Guys can be tough to shop for. Luckily, they’ll like everything on this list.

5. Accessories and clothes. What more could a girl ask for?

Still can’t decide? There’s always the Rue Gift Card.

We kissed sunning and swimming goodbye months ago. It’s about time we took on some cold-friendly activities.

1. We can’t be the only ones who consider hanging Christmas lights exercise.

2. There’s no way we’d pass up a sleigh ride (unless hot cocoa wasn’t allowed inside the vehicle).

3. Not a snowstorm goes by where we don’t build a snowman. No shame in our game.

4. As soon as fresh pow hits, we’re skiing the slopes.

5. Baking cookies can totally be considered a winter pastime. As long as they’re snowflake- and/or reindeer-shaped.

December 10, 2013

It’s official. We’re dedicating this month to our taste buds.

1. As much as we love constructing houses out of gingerbread, we also like eating it. In cookie form.

2. Peppermint bark. Peppermint milkshakes. Peppermint kisses. Peppermint everything, please.

3. Who doesn’t like hot cocoa? Answer: No one.

4. There will be a plate of fudge at almost every holiday party you attend. Guaranteed.

5. December isn’t complete until there’s a carton of unfinished eggnog in our refrigerator.
