Most Coveted: A Peek at This Week’s Boutiques

By Nicole Andrew, Rue La La Fashion Editor

“Little” indulgences – be they small in price or size – can go a long way in boosting your mood. This week, I’m sharing three summer finds, as well as one piece of pint-sized luxury with so much personality it will make your heart sing.

most-coveted-blog-main

1. DV by Dolce Vita ‘Hoyt’ Romper. Rompers and jumpsuits have come a long way from vintage styles of the 70s. Now more tailored than ever, the cuts are made to flatter in all the right ways.

2. Elie Saab ‘Le Parfum’ Eau de Toilette. Light with fresh floral notes, this is the perfect summer scent – plus, the bottle pulls double-duty as chic vanity décor!

3. Diane von Furstenberg ‘Martha’ Sunglasses. What’s that, you say? Too many sunglasses? Never.

4. Prada Saffiano Tote. A little embellishment never hurt anyone (neither did a mini Prada).

The Best-Dressed List: Top Looks from July 6 to 12

Each Week, Our Fashion Editor Decides Who Deserves Top Honors

Olivia, Victoria, and Emma: Veteran style stars, each with a distinct (and flawless) look that we admire. We typically know what to expect from these fashion mavens, but they still keep us on our toes with offbeat outfit choices.

Though Olivia’s getup isn’t atypical, she switched up her beauty routine with an orange lip and freshly dyed blonde hair. Usually opting for darker shades, Victoria served up a lively colorblocked dress at Wimbledon. Meanwhile, the generally demure Emma stepped out in a macramé bralette in Paris. My opinion? Keep the surprises coming.

The Best-Dressed List

  1. Olivia Palermo in Dior at the label’s Fall 2014 couture show in Paris.
  2. Victoria Beckham at Wimbledon in a dress from her Spring 2015 Collection.
  3. Emma Watson in Valentino at the label’s Fall 2014 couture show in Paris.

Most Coveted: A Peek at This Week’s Boutiques

By Nicole Andrew, Rue La La Fashion Editor

When Saturday rolls around each week, I find myself grabbing the same easy staples from my closet. Cue the essential summer-weekend wardrobe: tees (in all shapes and colors), denim (the more lived-in, the better), and my favorite pair of sunglasses. Boring? It doesn’t have to be. To add interest, look to details like frayed edges on your jeans and subtle textures on your solid tops. Then, finish off your casual looks with updated extras. From barbecues to trips to the farmers’ market, you’ll be ready for whatever the weekend brings.

Most Coveted: A Peek at This Week’s Boutiques

  1. HUDSON Jeans “Libertine” Boyfriend Short. Master the off-duty look with these distressed cutoffs.
  2. BB Dakota Space-Dye Top. For cool nights, throw on a lightweight tee with sleeves. Then grab the s’mores.
  3. Pink Peony Kitchen Candle. Floral scents keep your home fresh and ready for guests.
  4. Sparkling Sage Earrings. Statement earrings in subdued hues will tie your casual look together. Tip: They always pair well with a loose braid or messy bun.
  5. House of Harlow 1960 “Lucy” Sunglasses. Shades in retro silhouettes are making a comeback. Have your moment in the sun with this new (or, should I say, old?) round shape.

The Best-Dressed List: Top Looks from June 29 to July 5

Each week, our fashion editor decides who deserves top honors

The star of this week’s post? White. And no, I’m not talking about Olivia Palermo’s nontraditional wedding “dress.” Don’t get me wrong – her outfit definitely took “Sunday best” to a whole new level – but I’m actually referring to the parade of head-to-toe white popping up on red carpets everywhere. Note to self: freshly-bronzed skin is the best accessory.

The Best-Dressed List: Top Looks from June 29 to July 5

  1. Cheryl Cole in an Alexander McQueen tunic and J Brand leather leggings at The X Factor auditions in Edinburgh.
  2. Nicola Peltz in Stella McCartney at the Berlin premiere of Transformers: Age of Extinction.
  3. Alessandra Ambrosio in Valentino at the GREAT Britain reception welcoming Prince Harry to Brazil.

It’s Monday. You haven’t had your latte yet, and you don’t have a clue what to wear. The solution? First, coffee. Then, grab any shade of neutral. From bright white to ecru, these light earthy tones work together seamlessly. Add a delicate silver bracelet and you’ll be out the door in no time.

  2. Links of London Caged Heart Bracelet. Add a feminine touch to your oversized boyfriend watch with this sweet charm bracelet.
  3. FENDI ’3Jours’ Shopping Tote. Stay chic and conceal all of your essentials with this coveted white carryall.

Most Coveted: A Peek at This Week’s Boutiques

By Nicole Andrew, Rue La La Fashion Editor

If you’re anything like me, you gravitate toward neutrals. But there’s no better time than now to inject a little color into your wardrobe. After all, your glowing summer skin is primed to showcase this season’s best brights.

Most Coveted 6-16

  1. Ella Moss Maxi Dress. Side slits and lightweight crepe make this crimson number a breezy no-brainer.
  2. Marc by Marc Jacobs “Rock” Watch. Balance bold prints and colors with simple metallic accessories like this rose-gold boyfriend watch.
  3. Stella McCartney “Falabella” Clutch. Soft florals and an edgy chain-link trim play up the most vivid of hues.
  4. Sophia Webster “Riko” Sandal. Don’t be afraid to introduce even more color. These lace-up heels stand out in all the right ways.
