The rumors are true: after this February’s shows, New York Fashion Week will be forced out of Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park, its home since 2010.
The NYC Parks Advocates just reached a settlement with the city after arguing that NYFW’s tents and equipment illegally took over the public space, using the park for commercial purposes. Due to their claim, Fashion Week will be prevented from renewing its contract with Lincoln Center, which was supposed to house the event until 2020.
Although a new location hasn’t been named yet, I have no doubt the street-style stars will flock (#selfies and all).
