AN INTERVIEWWITHELLE.COMFASHION & SHOPPINGEDITORSYDNEYWASSERMAN
We must admit, even though winter’s chill just officially set in, we’ve been daydreaming of jetting off to the tropics for a while now. We sat down with ELLE.com Editor Sydney Wasserman to fulfill our island craving with her take on all things Resort.
Rue La La: What trends from this season’s Resort collections are you most excited about? Sydney: I love the idea of mixing different prints in one bold outfit. It takes a keen eye to be able to clash prints without looking like a clown, but when done right, it’s so chic. I also like the look of a high-waisted short suit – it gives off the air of a high-powered jetsetter. And I can’t forget this season’s color craze: neons.
Rue La La: How have Resort collections evolved over the past several years? Sydney: Resort has certainly become a predominant season with its own story and look. I think Michael Kors summed it up best when he observed that while Spring and Fall set the trends, Resort is the wardrobe that will be in a woman’s closet. AN INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNER OF COMPLETELY BARE SPAS
Everyone does it (but nobody talks about it). We sat down with the woman at the helm of New York’s chicest, hush-hush hot spot to go completely bare. Cindy gave us the scoop on her most in-demand services, favorite treatments, and A-list clientele.
Rue La La: We hear there’s this special, secret wax… Cindy: completely bare Ouch-Less Wax – it was developed to grab onto the hair follicle and not the skin. The wax has positive sensory recollection, allowing you to disengage from the waxing experience and indulge in a personal memory evoked by the fragrance of the wax. AN INTERVIEW WITH LAND ROVER DRIVING INSTRUCTOR JOSH WILLIAMS
It’s every adventure’s dream: to get behind the wheel of a rugged Land Rover on an action-packed obstacle course. And with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and graduation right around the corner, making this (not-so-dangerous-after-all) dream a reality is the ultimate present. We sat down with a seasoned Land Rover driving instructor to get the scoop on what this day of driving is really like.
Rue La La: Say we buy dad a turn at driving school. What could he expect? Josh: All of our lessons are customized for the guest. We teach a thought process. That is the best way to learn a new skill. Make it fun and you have the student hooked. We take beginners who have never been off road and make them confident behind the wheel. We also work with experienced drivers who haven’t been off road for awhile. Our school is almost like a driver’s education for off roading.
