Yes, you heard right. Pantone announced yesterday that its 2015 Color of the Year is Marsala, which it describes as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.”

Although not quite as bright and pretty as this year’s Radiant Orchid, Marsala’s rusty undertones will be easy to integrate into everything from our wardrobes to our décor. And as a matter of fact, it’s already been spotted on the spring 2015 runways.

I know what you’re thinking. The name alone doesn’t sound so appealing (chicken marsala, anyone?). But after seeing Dries Van Noten and Louis Vuitton incorporate it into their spring collections, I must say, I’m eager to give it a try.
