It’s Happening: Coach Shoes for Men

Men, rejoice. Even the uninitiated know that Coach has long been a dominating force when it comes to women’s bags and shoes. And though the brand has dipped its toes into the menswear world in the past, it’s now getting ready to fully dive in. How? By launching its first full collection of men’s shoes.

What can you expect? Fifteen styles – think oxfords, monkstraps, chukkas, and more – in Italian leather and suede. As Greg Unis, Coach’s senior vice president of men’s global merchandising, told WWD“We’ve had men’s shoes in our stores in the past but haven’t gone after a full collection until now. The goal for launching [these shoes] is to continue to grow the lifestyle expression of our brand. There’s such a natural connection between leatherwear and craftsmanship [and] the cool aesthetic we have, and bringing that collection is the natural next step.”

Shoes range from $185 to $495 and will be available at all Coach stores come September. (Just the excuse I need to drag my significant other into the store with me.)

Dressed to Feast: Guys’ Thanksgiving Outfit Advice from a Rue Stylist

Turkey. Pumpkin pie. Football. The ultimate lounge day is almost here. And if there’s one thing you should take into consideration when dressing for Thanksgiving, it’s comfort.

In an effort to still look presentable for the extended fam you only see a few times a year, sweatpants are off the table. But luckily, Rue stylist Chrissy B. chose an outfit and did all the styling work for you.

“Go for classic denim, a relaxed button-front (to hide a full belly), and comfy yet refined chukka boots,” Chrissy recommended. “Tie the whole thing together with a canvas or leather belt so your mom will think you look finished.”

Copying her outfit pick verbatim is totally acceptable. We won’t say a word.

Guys, Put These 3 Shoe Styles in Your Rotation

You’ve seen these shoes before. You probably even have a pair or two in your closet – or on your feet at this very moment. But can you identify them by name? If not, then no worries. We’re here to break it down for you.

Now that you know what they are, here are a few tips on how to wear them.

Boat Shoes: Whether you’re keeping steady on a sloop or trekking through an urban jungle, boat shoes are the go-to casual shoe. Ditch the socks and wear them with shorts when the temps start to rise or pair them with khakis or jeans all through winter.

Penny Loafers: Easily dressed up or down, you can pair your penny loafers with everything from jeans and a polo (roll up the cuffs and go sockless if you’re feeling daring) to chinos, a button-front, and a blazer.

Chukkas: Often done up in leather or suede, these flat turf boots have a laid-back, yet very put-together, vibe. Mix up your look with slim denim and a plaid shirt. Then go ahead and top it all off with a cashmere sweater for that extra dose of polish.

Our Up Your Shoe Game: Oxfords, Loafers, & More Boutique opens Thursday, November 14, at 11AM ET.
