It’s not every day that a fashion blogger has a Harvard Business School case study written about her. But Chiara Ferragni, founder of The Blonde Salad, gets the university’s stamp of approval.

HBS published an in-depth look at the 27-year-old mogul, who counts a shoe line, luxury-brand partnerships, and many magazine features under her well-appointed belt. And it is paying off. Her 16-person team is projected to pull in a whopping $9 million by the end of the year.

Aspiring bloggers – it’s time to hit the books. Grab the case study ($14) and start building your own online empire.

What do Chiara FerragniZanita Whittington, and Nicole Warne have in common? Other than being wildly popular fashion bloggers, the three are the first in their field to land the cover of a major U.S. fashion magazine (Lucky’s February 2015 issue, to be exact).

Quite a lot has changed since Chiara, Zanita, and Nicole first stepped onto the fashion-blogging scene several years ago. What began as side projects turned into full-fledged businesses with the same perks that fashion’s finest editors received only after years in the industry.

“We don’t just blog – we do so many different things,” Chiara told LuckyAnd that they do. Nicole has modeled for Lancôme. Zanita has starred in a Louis Vuitton campaign. And Chiara has written a book and created an eponymous shoe line. It’s safe to say blogging is just the beginning for them.

As for all those naysayers who think the blogging game is on its way out? These ladies clearly prove otherwise.
