Star Style: Spot-on Looks from the Tribeca Film Festival

As New York City celebrates its version of Sundance, we’re watching more than just the winners of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. This star-studded event boasted major names from ever sector of the city – from business and journalism to fashion (and, of course, film). Naturally, everyone was dressed to impress. Here were our favorite ensembles.

Tribeca film festival

Alexa Chung in Chanel. This style icon nailed the minimalist look perfectly in a cream shirtdress from Chanel.

Olivia Wilde keeps it casual. In a graphic tee, black skinnies, and fitted leather moto jacket, the actress struck the harmonious cool/chic balance.

Caroline Correa as the golden girlThe Brazilian actress and model donned a $1.5 million, 24-karat gold gown designed by Zac Posen. The effect? Flashy (in the best way possible).

Red Hot: Stylish Celebrity Couples We Love

iStock_000003951574SmallWhile we love to hypothesize about the romances of our favorite celebrities (looking at you, Taylor Swift), there’s one thing better than the cycle of makeups and breakups in the spotlight – the fashion. These stylish lovebirds are always on our best-dressed list:

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen: A Brazilian supermodel and an NFL superstar with runway good looks? Okay, fine. You guys win.

David and Victoria Beckham: Celebrity designer meets (and marries) hunky athlete. Every date night is a fashion statement for these two.

Jay-Z and Queen Bey: Because – she’s Beyoncé.

Barack and Michelle Obama: The First Couple are the new Kennedys. Michelle has become a fashion icon in her own right, and her signature style – pairing designer labels with brands like J.Crew – continuously stuns.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge: Kate Middleton’s fashion influence has a near-global reach. From the Alexander McQueen wedding dress to her grocery-store attire, Kate’s style has morphed into a cult-like obsession. (And the Prince in Irish Guards? Yes, please.)

Which celebrity couple do you think is the most stylish?

Awards Season is Back: Red Carpet Beauty

Last night marked the official start of awards season, and the stars of the small screen were out in full force. Amid the glitz and glamour that the red carpet is known for, there were a variety of looks that caught our eye. (Claire Dane’s yellow Lanvin number had us speechless.) But she wasn’t the only one drawing attention, according to Beauty High:

For the 64th Annual Emmy Awards we saw a lot of different trends on the red carpet, from neutral nails highlighted on E!’s Mani Cam to nude lips, smokey eyes, and a whole lot of big, tousled hair. While various shades of yellow, burgundy, and seafoam ruled the dress trends on the red carpet, we had our eye on who was doing what in terms of beauty.

Our favorite looks? Julianne Moore was absolutely stunning, from head to toe. Allison Williams of HBO’s Girls practically glowed in her emerald ensemble – we loved her bold eyes and relaxed updo, too. And, of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Zooey Deschanel and her amazing television nail art.

What red carpet looks are you buzzing about? Share it in the comments below or tweet us @ruelala.
