The musts for any getaway? These five apps that will essentially do the thinking for you. Vacation is a time to escape and take a (much-needed) break, so kick back, relax, and let them work their magic. I can already picture you on the beach with an ice-cold drink in your hand.

1. Packing Pro: There is nothing worse than getting to the airport – or, better yet, opening your suitcase in Paris – and realizing you’ve forgotten something. I mean, who wants to buy another rain jacket you’ll never wear again? This app allows for customizable lists and iCloud syncing to ensure nothing is left behind.
2. Free Wi-Fi Finder: This app from JiWire, featured above, is a dream come true. You can quickly and easily locate a Wi-Fi hot spot, then get directions there. Boom! You’re connected, wherever you are. Which means, don’t fret – you can upload those just-filtered-enough Instagram photos after all.

By Jackie Nasser, Rue La La Fashion Director
Last week I, along with the Rue La La team, descended into Hollywood to film a segment for Extra TV with the lovely Maria Menounos. After Mario Lopez wrapped up his segment with Dancing With the Stars judge, Bruno (who broke out into a rendition of “What a Wonderful World” at the end), it was my turn to face the live audience at Universal Studios. On the agenda? Lots of fashion talk.
While I shared what was on trend, and on Rue, this season – printed jeans, suede heels, bold necklaces, and top-handle ladylike bags – Maria couldn’t take her eyes off of our FENDI Polifonia T-strap pumps. “I haven’t bought a pair of chunky heels yet,” she shared. “These ones make me want to try the trend because I love the studded detailing.” And her fawning didn’t stop there. After giving Maria a virtual tour of our Boutiques, I think I may have a fellow Rue addict on my hands. Welcome to the club, Maria.
Tune into NBC’s EXTRA this weekend to see all of Jackie’s fall fashion must-haves. Then, tweet @ruelala with #askjackie to get all of your style questions answered.
