Sand Castles

Here at Rue, we live to inspire our Members every day. We’ve been excited to see our Members voice so much enthusiasm (even submitting inspired ideas of their own) for our ever-changing login page. It was a conversation we just had to continue. So we decided to take you even further behind the scenes, introducing you to some of The Artists of Rue – the talented people who pour their creativity and heart (always with a very Rue twist) into everything they do to help bring the world of Rue to life. Take a peek at how our collaboration happens, Rue-style:

And we’d love to hear what you think of our login pages – past, present and future – and if you have any ideas of your own for them!

Style. I Do!

Let us count the reasons we love weddings: the flowers, the cake, and (hello!) the dress. And then there are the reasons we don’t: ambiguous dress codes, cookie-cutter Mother-of-the-Bride ensembles, and the inevitable etiquette conundrum. So we turned to Abby Larson, founder and editor of Style Me Pretty, to take on our Facebook fans’ toughest wedding questions, all in preparation for our Style. I Do! wedding Boutique. Consider a dress that’s a little heavier material than your average flowy cocktail dress – maybe even something with sleeves. Pair it with a great pair of tights and you’ll be one happy camper. We LOVE this look for a snowy soirée. We’ve seen tons of tights on SMP lately – one of those trends that we hope is here to stay. Consider adding a cute sweater or tweed jacket and you’ll be layering in luxe style.

Destination Denim

As an avid traveler, I’m constantly packing and re-packing. Denim is one of my favorite suitcase essentials because not only is it durable and great for travel, but it goes with just about everything. Denim is appropriate for most occasions, and should be a vital part of everyone’s wardrobe in some shape or form. Today, denim is available in everything from shirts to sandals, so the jean pool is much more diverse than you may think. Below I’ve outlined my denim must-haves for any trip:

The newest must-have in denim, jean leggings are the sexy necessity of the season. They’re ideal travel gear because they’re cute and comfy, and work well on the plane. Plus, it’s a great alternative to saggy sweats.
