Turner Fisheries Clambake
Serves 1

Ingredients
1½-pound lobster
3 littleneck clams
5 mussels
3 fingerling potatoes, blanched and cut in half
1 tablespoon fresh corn kernels
¼ teaspoon chopped garlic
¼ teaspoon chopped shallots
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine
¼ cup vegetable stock
1 teaspoon butter
½ teaspoon parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper

Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Add lobster to boiling water and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.

3. While lobster is cooking, sauté potatoes, corn, and littleneck clams with garlic and shallots in oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. When potatoes are nicely browned, add mussels, white wine, and vegetable stock to sauté pan and cover to steam. Once clams open, add butter and parsley, adjust seasoning, and arrange in bowl.

5. When lobster is cooked, cut tail in half, crack open claws and knuckles, brush with butter, and add to bowl.

Go anywhere in the summer and you’re likely to see at least three pairs of Jack Rogers strutting around. But how did they get so popular (and completely beloved)? This is where it all began.

1. In the early 60s, the label was born on the streets of Capri.

2. After Jackie O fell in love with them while vacationing in Italy, the Navajo sandal gained instant fame.

3. That same sandal is still made by hand in Palm Beach, Florida.

4. Jack Rogers opened its first storefront on NYC’s Madison Avenue in 2011.

5. The brand was recently recognized by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where it was inducted into The Costume Institute.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning? Chances are, you wake up and take a nice long stretch – and it feels like the best thing in the world (since froyo).

So rather than stopping there, slip into your yoga best and extend that stretch into these six easy poses. Not only will you wake your muscles slowly and have more energy, but you’ll notice that ten minutes is all it takes to get in a little relaxation and exercise. All before having that morning latte.

The Outfit

The Moves

1. Detox Breath in Goddess Pose
Lie on your back, bend your knees and place your feet together, and breathe ten slow, deep breaths.

2. Happy Baby
Pull your knees up to your sides and grab your big toe, outside of the foot, or behind your knees, ensuring your seat doesn’t lift off the ground. Hold for five to ten breaths.

3. Supported Shoulder Stand
Place a pillow under your hips and extend your legs as straight as possible, stretching your arms out on either side for balance. (Make sure your hips and legs are higher than your heart, so add more pillows if needed.) Hold for ten breaths.

4. Seated Eagle
Roll onto your side and sit up slowly into a cross-legged position. Wrap your arms in front of you, right elbow over left, and touch palms. Keep fingers straight to the sky and breathe for five to ten breaths. Swap arms and repeat.

5. Seated Twist
Release arms and place your left arm on your right knee. Leading with your right arm, twist your right arm, chest, and head to the right, landing with your right arm behind you. Hold for five to ten breaths, then repeat on the other side.

6. Forward Bend with Fists
Slowly stand with bent knees. Make fists and place them in the opposing elbows, then fold over your bent knees and relax your back, shoulders, and head. Breathe in this position for one minute. Roll up and reach your arms over your head for a full body stretch.

We’re suckers for pretty much any shopping opportunity. Now add a market filled with one-of-a-kind antiques as far as the eye can see, bartering shoppers, and a poshed-out VIP tent to catch your breath in between deal-making, and you can call this utopia. Here’s a glimpse inside.

Check Out: The VIP Tent
Serving as a refuge from the outdoor bustle, this is the kind of tent we can really get behind (sleeping bags, bugs, and campfires totally optional).

Check Out: The Bar
Interior designer Shane Inman used Benjamin Moore paint to line the insides of the hundreds of bottles that adorn the bar. Who knew – all it takes to energize a space is a little color (okay, a lot of color).

Check Out: Benjamin Moore & Robert Allen
Shane used products and images from fellow partners Benjamin Moore and Robert Allen to set the stage for a cushy and relaxing VIP outpost. From designers and home bloggers to fellow fashion lovers, these areas offer a stylish escape for everyone to congregate, get off their feet, and talk about their finds from the day (complimentary jars of M&M’S® are a nice pick-me-up, too).

Check Out: The Details
Reclaimed light fixtures. Who needs new lighting when a spool of rope is lying around? Talk about a conversation piece.

Tissue-paper flowers resemble rows of giant hydrangea. Finally, something to do with all that recycled wrapping paper.

One of the seating areas from within the tent. There’s just something about bright colors and expert pattern-mixing that makes a room feel like home.

Like a salon blowout (as in, near impossible to replicate at home), the perfectly made hotel bed is a feat of housekeeping mastery. Luckily, the Director of Renovations for W Hotels, Aliya Khan, let us in on a few tricks of the trade.

Invest in high-quality bedding and pillows. ”I recommend using 100% cotton, with a 200–400 thread count. Be sure to use sheets, shams, and a duvet set, as well as a lightweight blanket or coverlet. Extra pillows and shams are a nice, inviting touch.”

Make the bed. ”After placing the fitted sheet on the bed, make hospital corners with the bottom corners of the top sheet. Then place the top sheet on the bed, followed by the duvet. Fold the sheet and duvet down 12–14 inches before placing pillows on top. Smooth out the duvet and sit the pillows up straight.”

Keep duvets and pillows fluffy. “Shake them lightly with your hand every morning and then redistribute the filling by tapping the pillows on every side. Wash your pillows and duvet every few months on the gentle cycle and dry them on low with tennis balls in the dryer to keep them fluffy.”

It’s not just about the bed. ”While the bed is key, it’s also important to consider the entire ambiance of a room. Scents like lavender (either from a candle or a spray) are ideal as they soothe and relax, and citrus scents are perfect for waking you up in the morning. Also experiment with different lighting, keeping it dim by night so you can unwind but bright and welcoming by day.”

Our Keep It Simple: White, Grey, & Neutral Bedding Boutique opens Friday, May 17, at 3PM ET.

Before you head off for a weekend by the lake, look to these three water accessories sure to keep the whole family engaged.

Float
The only thing better than getting the whole family around the dinner table? Catching up around this lounge float.

Tube
Waterskiing and wakeboarding are fun, but they do take some skill. So for an activity the whole family (read: the uncoordinated) can enjoy, try tubing.

Kayak
Owning a speedboat is great – but sometimes it’s nice to take a slow kayak and enjoy your surroundings. The best part? Little ones won’t need a license to steer their own.

Our RAVE Sports: Water Slides, Kayaks, & More Boutique opened Friday, May 17, at 11AM ET.

At Rue, we’re pretty much all Rachel Zoe fan girls (seriously, we die). Her effortlessly chic boho style? Perfection. So when her new collection came through, you can bet we all scoured the racks in hopes of channeling her flawless hippie-chic look. Here, the three pieces we’ve deemed must-haves to pull it off.

The Jumpsuit. This one-piece-wonder can be dressed up or down. Just make sure to add turquoise jewelry for instant boho appeal.

Flared Jeans. The best part about flares? When worn with a killer pair of wedges, your legs instantly look longer.

Prints, Prints, & More Prints. Paisley, tie-dye, florals, or ikat all work. Extra points if they’re scattered across flowy chiffon or cool silk (like above).

Wavy Hair. Okay, this isn’t a piece of clothing, but still, it’s essential for every free spirit. Simply take a curling iron and wrap your hair around the barrel sans clamp, and voilà! Waves that look effortless.
