It’s been a long six months, but New York Fashion Week is back. And as eager as we are to see what hits the runway, we’re also anxiously awaiting the who’s who of each front row. From trendsetters to models and bloggers, the style A-list shows us how NYFW is done. Take note of these three tricks, then channel their looks.

Fashion WeekGo for Easy Silhouettes
With shows uptown, downtown, and everywhere in between, Fashion Week is as much about function as it is style. Try a one-and-done dress or opt for a sleek top and dramatic skirt. Twelve-hour days have nothing on you.

Add Some Height
Outside the tents, street-style stars are all about sneakers. But inside the shows, minimalist heels are where it’s at. Slip into strappy stilettos to make your legs appear longer, even while seated.

Put It in Print
Patterns are having a runway moment, and it’s no different on the sidelines. Mix and match prints to create your own look instead of layering on bold accessories, which might get lost in photos.

Now, follow their lead and shop our Dress like a NYFW Pro Boutique, which opened Thursday, September 10, at 3PM ET.

Flares sans the VW van? This style is actually more versatile than you think. Below, Rue La La Stylist Caroline M. sounds off on three ways to rid the trend of its far-out reputation.

Flared pants with rocker tee Velvet flares = tough-girl chic. Rock them with a vintage graphic tee and a wide-brimmed hat for an effortless “I’m with the band” vibe.

Flirty flared jeans with off-the-shoulder topTake your flares out on the town. Pair them with an off-the-shoulder top and strappy heels – the perfect girls’-night combo.

Flared denim with polished blazerBoss-approved denim? Check. Wear tailored wide-leg jeans with a half-tucked top and structured blazer for a dose of corporate polish.

Grab your own pair of flares in our True Religion Boutique, which opened Wednesday, September 2, at 11AM ET.

You can spot them coming from a mile away – and it’s not just because they’re incredibly tall. The off-duty model’s undone glamour embodies that #IWokeUpLikeThis appeal we can’t get enough of. Although they share some style similarities off the runway (cue the designer backpacks), there are certain faces in the crowd with headline-making wardrobes.

Behati Prinsloo in Floral Dress and Furry Black JacketMrs. Adam Levine has the off-duty-model and rocker-wife look down. Thanks to her eccentric boho vibes, she’s the poster girl for fashion’s current 70s craze. And did we mention how on point her mix-and-match game is? She pairs loud pieces with tough black for flawlessly balanced ensembles. Continue reading “Work It: Get the Off-Duty-Model Look” »

Long gone are the days of pets serving as accessories. Cats and dogs now take center stage with a style all their own. And like any modern fashion icon, they embrace fame with a dedicated Instagram presence. Here’s a look at 5 of the most fabulous felines around.

Stylish Instagram Cats1. @my_furry_babies
If you peruse his plaid shirt–filled feed, you’ll clearly see Joey has a paw in all things trendy. Even better, this tabby has a look for every occasion (#catswhobrunch, anyone?) and isn’t afraid to accessorize.

Zoë Kravitz was born into fame – hellooooo, her parents are Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. But it’s Zoë’s style on-screen (and off-) that has earned her the spotlight. Want to snag her rocker-chic look? Grab these three key pieces.

The Birkin. The Kelly. The… Evelyne? That’s right, there’s another Hermès sister in town. Designed in 1978, the bag has been around for decades. But it wasn’t until recently that it began cropping up on style blogs and celebs’ shoulders. Read on for five must-know facts about our latest obsession.

Hermes Evelyne Bag

  1. Évelyne Bertrand, then the head of the Hermès riding department, was the inspiration behind the bag.
  2. Originally, the design was marketed as a carryall for equestrian accessories, but it has since been repositioned as a chic crossbody.
  3. The bag’s trademark H was purposely perforated to allow horse-grooming tools to dry.
  4. It has gone through three generational transformations:
    • Evelyne I: It was first created without an external pocket.
    • Evelyne II: Next time around, an outer pocket was added (hello, lipstick storage).
    • Evelyne III: Today’s version has the best of all worlds – the pocket and an adjustable canvas strap.
  5. Though the logo was originally intended to be worn facing in, it is almost always worn facing out.

Feeling fashionably informed? Get acquainted with the It bag herself in our Hermès: Featuring the Evelyne Bag Boutique, which opened Thursday, August 20, at 11AM ET.
