The easiest way to take classic style to the next level? Add an unexpected twist. From graphic stripes to of-the-moment silhouettes, these celebs proved that tailored separates are statement-makers.

Best Dressed

1. Sienna Miller sported bold stripes in an Altuzarra runway combo while promoting American Sniper in New York, completing the look with a vampy lip and her signature tousled locks.

2. Jennifer Lopez balanced femininity and sex appeal for her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The star wore blush-hued separates, adding a touch of glam with metallic wide-leg trousers from Solace London.

This morning, we remember Vince Camuto, the footwear designer known to have “the Midas touch,” who passed away Wednesday in his Connecticut home.

Throughout his 78 years, Vince built an impressive résumé, co-founding Nine West in 1987 with Jerome Fischer, launching the multi-billion dollar Jessica Simpson brand, and partnering with Tory Burch on the creation of the coveted Reva flat. And it doesn’t stop there: Vince led an eponymous brand of his own, starting with shoes and growing it into a complete ready-to-wear collection.

The one thing Vince never did? Retire. He told Footwear News,“[Retire] isn’t in my vocabulary.” While it’s a sad loss for the fashion biz, Vince lives on with the shoe addict in all of us.

So you like Alexa Chung’s eclectic vibe. Well now, borrowing from this fashion muse is as simple as shopping her latest collaboration with AG Jeans.

Inspired by her own throwback style, the 30-piece collection features blues in every shape, from bell-bottoms to overalls. Alexa tells InStyle, “[It] is inherently the missing pieces of my dream denim wardrobe, which, as ever, is predominantly inspired by a late 60s, early 70s aesthetic.”

Who doesn’t like a little retro revival? If that’s where her sartorial cues come from, you can find us following right behind.

In the glossy snaps, models Daria Strokous and Sasha Luss are pictured in prim pink, white lace, and floral prints. And the enviable location? Oh-so-sunny Miami.

This campaign is a stunning end to Oscar’s career, but I’m excited to see how his successor Peter Copping interprets the designer’s legacy moving forward.

If you thought Converse couldn’t get any more iconic, think again. The all-American sneaker brand teamed up with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts on a limited-edition collection, launching next month.

The Chuck Taylor All Stars (both high- and low-top) will boast various pop art designs from Andy Warhol’s most well-known creations. Think Lots of Campbell’s soup cans and bold splashes of color. But believe it or not, this isn’t the artist’s first brush with the footwear biz. Back in the 1950s, he created trademark whimsical designs as the illustrator for shoe labels like I. Miller.

I can’t wait to get my hands (er, feet) on these soon-to-be street-style stars. Fingers crossed my favorite Marilyn Monroe print makes it onto the canvas kicks.

Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show is a big deal on its own. But it gets even better: the singer just confirmed her designer BFF Jeremy Scott is creating her costumes. (Yes, multiple looks.)

Even though the performance is just over 12 minutes long, Katy revealed to E! Online that she’ll change outfits at least once. “On my real tour, the Prismatic World Tour, I have nine, ten different costumes. So I would feel very bored if I didn’t change my look at least once on the show,” she said.

And who better to dress her than Jeremy? Katy has been a front-row fixture at his runway shows, rocked his looks onstage, and even wore a Jeremy Scott for adidas tracksuit in the Pepsi Super Bowl teaser commercial. Needless to say, she’s a fan.

Whether she’s killing it in a glitter getup or Jeremy’s latest Barbie-inspired look, one thing’s for certain: I’ll be glued to the TV screen for every glorious minute.
