Cady Heron. Regina George. Gretchen Wieners. Karen Smith. If these four names ring a bell, you’re clearly a Mean Girls fan.

To celebrate the film’s tenth birthday, Entertainment Weekly caught up with five of the cast members – Tina Fey, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried – for a look back at the movie. Important takeaways: Glenn Cocco isn’t just the kid with four candy-cane-grams, he’s actually a real person. And almost all of the cast members auditioned to play the part of Regina.

Let’s hear it for the Girls. On Monday, HBO announced the January return of Hannah Horvath and friends with a juicy two-minute trailer.

The clip hints at tensions between Hannah and her beau Adam and even teases a peek at Shoshanna’s familial background. (Yes, she came from somewhere.) Fans can also be assured that Marnie’s controversial singing voice will make another appearance.

Good thing I have Lena Dunham’s new book to tide me over until the season’s debut.

Last time you heard from our associates-only book club, we were obsessing over Marisha Pessl‘s Night Film. Now? Random House graciously gifted us copies of Emily St. John Mandel‘s latest, the post-apocalyptic novel Station Eleven. Just a few pages in, I was hooked (and I wasn’t the only one).

For breakfast on the go: Put mini mason jars to good use with a make-ahead frittata that travels safely to work. Bake a mixture of ground sausage, red pepper, kale, egg, and yogurt right in the glass jar.

For your 5K training: NYU researchers claim that focusing on a specific target – say, a tree or a lamp post – makes outdoor running easier. Since you can see yourself progressing toward that point, the fixed gaze motivates your body to keep moving.

For your pumpkin haul: Skip the carving mess and decorate your seasonal gourds instead. Try metallic or puff paint, glue on flowers and leaves, or press on pyramid studs.

Following an Ivy League education and the Harry Potter series, British actress Emma Watson is sticking up for herself – and for women around the world. As the newly appointed Women’s Ambassador of Goodwill, Emma delivered a powerful message to U.N. officials this weekend about what it means to be a feminist and who exactly should be involved in the matter (hint: everyone).

In her ten-minute speech, Emma raises important questions about gender inequality, like “Why has the word ‘feminism’ become such an unpopular one?” She also asks for our help in reversing the age-old stigma that all feminists are “anti-men,” formally extending an invitation for guys to join the conversation. This stance supports her newly launched campaign HeForShe, a solidarity movement encouraging men to join the fight for equal rights.

Already, Emma’s words have made their mark on the world (and on my Facebook news feed). She’s poised and passionate about equal rights, and I can think of no one better for the job. So boys, get involved and sign a commitment at heforshe.org. It’s your issue too.

For stiff muscles: A simple stretch can relieve tight hip flexors after sitting all day. Just hold a modified lunge on a sturdy office chair.

For better productivity: The ammo you need to take another break? A recent study suggests a work cycle of 52 minutes on, 17 minutes off is the most effective.

For a light dessert: Perfect this healthy brownie recipe – substituting black beans for flour – for a guilt-free treat.

Unlike that VHS your mom still works out to, this is what’s new and now on the fitness scene.

1. Apple Watch to Replace Your Fitness Tracker

Apple seemingly dominates every tech-related arena. So maybe it’s no surprise that, with the recent release of the Apple Watch, your fitness tracker might just find its way into the junk drawer. The timepiece tracks daily activity and calories burned, but it also factors in the quality of those movements with a heart rate and elevation monitor. That post-work hill you trek? Prepare to get major props from Siri.

2. “Mindful” Triathlons on the Rise

A “mindful” triathlon is a 5k run followed by meditation and a massive outdoor yoga class. But you can also count on a healthy amount of live music and good food. Even those who haven’t laced up a pair of sneaks in awhile (ahem, me) can see the appeal of this next-level fun run. If you’re interested in joining, Wanderlust 108 has upcoming stops in Atlanta, Austin, and Aspen.

3. Eating Healthy Can Be Easy

We’ve all scanned aisle after aisle of Whole Foods, hunting for good-for-you products that we actually like. Welp, here’s the solution: meet Conscious Box. This monthly subscription box service is packed with eight to twelve non-GMO surprises, from Wave Bar baked apple bars to soap berries by Naturally Green. There are even vegan and gluten-free options, too.

Check it out for yourself. Our Conscious Box Boutique opened Thursday, September 18, at 11AM ET.

Gisele Bündchen is used to being scrutinized – she is a model after all. And her newest gig in Under Armour’s “I Will What I Want” campaign is no exception. Critics took issue with Gisele starring in the ads, as she is the first non-professional athlete tapped by the activewear label. But Under Armour is one step ahead of them.

In the campaign’s video, the Brazilian supermodel shows off her kickboxing skills as comments (both good and bad) flash behind her. “Gisele knows what it means to live under the microscope, amongst the noise of contradicting opinions. But will beats noise,” the brand states. Using negative comments as fuel, Gisele punches and kicks that hanging sandbag like a champ. As for her “haters”? I’m sure they’ve been silenced.

Consider this trio the exact opposite of leg warmers, Prancercise, and ThighMasters.

1. New at NYFW: Fitness Clothing

Sure, we’ve seen athletic-inspired clothing on the catwalk before. But for the first time ever a dedicated fitness brand, Athleta, will debut a line during September’s big event. And in true sporty fashion, the models are rumored to be doing everything but walking on the runway. Prep yourself for parkour, yoga, and dancing.

2. Fun Runs Are on the Rise

According to a recent report by Running USA, non-traditional running events are on the rise. Think mud, obstacles, and lots of paint. Since 2009, the number of fun-run finishers has grown from the low six figures to 4 million in 2013. And judging by the number of mud-splattered grins I see on Instagram every other week, this trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

3. You Can Lose Weight on Vacation

I know, I didn’t think it was possible either. But a resort located on sunny Hilton Head Island in South Carolina is all about it: Meet Hilton Head Health. Located on an 800-acre shipyard plantation, this weeklong weight-loss retreat tailors gourmet meals, fitness classes, and cooking demonstrations to each individual. Returning from vacay feeling better than when you left? Totally happening.

Check it out for yourself. Our Hilton Head Health – Hilton Head Island, SC Boutique opened Thursday, August 21, at 11AM ET.
