It’s no secret mules are making a major comeback. After being spotted on nearly every fashion influencer last spring, they’ve officially shed their “grandma shoe” label. Here are three street-style-approved ways to wear them.

How to Style MulesWith Cropped Denim
Pair a chunky-heeled mule with dark, cropped skinny jeans for an effortlessly cool look. Feeling a little too dressy? Try light, distressed denim instead.

How to Style MulesWith a Midi Dress
Not sure how to take your mid-length dress from desk to dinner? Mules will do the trick. No outfit switch necessary.

How to Style MulesWith a Miniskirt
A shorter hemline will show off this style with ease. Try mules in black paired with a leather mini for the ultimate girls’-night look.

Finding the just-right pair of jeans can do wonders for your backside. The secret? It’s all in the pockets.

Jean Pockets by ShapePlain Wide Pockets
Best for: The well-endowed
Why: Unembellished wide pockets that sit lower on your backside help to balance out a bootylicious rear. Avoid intricate stitching details and smaller pockets, since they can exaggerate size.

Jean Pockets by ShapeFlap Pockets
Best for: Flat-bottomed girls
Why: Detailed flap pockets (think: buttons, contrast stitching, or embroidery) give the illusion of a rounder backside. Those that taper to a point help emphasize the top half of your booty – a.k.a. where you need the most added volume.

Pocket-Shape_blog_3Close-Sitting Vertical Pockets
Best for: Wide behinds
Why: Midsized back pockets that sit closer together (and don’t splay diagonally outward) work well with the scale of wider behinds, drawing attention toward the middle of the rear and creating the illusion of a narrower backside.

It’s time to flaunt your best asset. Our Denim All-Stars: Shop the Labels You Love Boutique opened Tuesday, August 4, at 11AM ET.

Ever fallen for a blouse that’s just slightly too flowy for your liking? Cue the half-tuck. A little less formal than the full-tuck, this simple style trick adds instant polish and gives the illusion of longer, leaner legs. Here’s how.

Half-Tuck

  1. Start with your top draped naturally over your jeans.
  2. Then, tuck in the front about an inch, letting the sides and back hang loose.
  3. Gently fluff some of the tucked material out over your waistband to achieve a relaxed, effortless look.
  4. Not feeling quite right? Play with the angle of your tuck, either pulling fabric back into the waistband or letting more hang out. Repeat until satisfied.

Ta-da! You just gave “business in the front, party in the back” a whole new meaning.
