From Beyoncé's trillionth good deed to Fashion's Night – er, year – Out, here's what we're buzzing about this week

Chitter Chatter

Make: New Fashion Week kickoff plans this fall. The U.S. version of Fashion’s Night Out is going on hiatus for 2013. (Fingers crossed they repurpose all those fashion trucks as food stands.)

See: Girl-crush extraordinaire Jennifer Lawrence’s newly dyed dark hair. Wonder if the look affects Jack Nicholson’s initial offer?

Support: All the single (and non-single) ladies. Beyoncé has signed on for Gucci’s Chime for Change campaign, focusing on equal opportunity for women worldwide.

Get: Your crayons out – Kate Moss just released a coloring book in which budding artists can decorate – wait for it – her. That fridge door’s about to get insanely chic.

From runway jams to the FLOTUS’ style evolution, here’s what we’re buzzing about this week

BLG-1292 Chitter Chatter 2-25

Watch: Supermodel Coco Rocha bust a move for Longchamp’s SS13 campaign video. And we thought her runway strut was impressive.

Check Out: The First Lady’s style evolution. While a lot has changed (from her bangs to her brows), we think she looks perfectly presidential in both.

Hear: The top ten tracks at London Fashion Week. With these jams on our iPods, the sidewalk is our catwalk (or so we like to think).

Own: A piece of fashion history. Ten of Princess Diana’s most iconic dresses will be up for grabs at the Kerry Taylor auction house on March 19. Just be prepared to shell out some serious dough.

From front-row celeb sightings to Adele's vocals, here's what we're buzzing about this week

BLG-1235 Chitter Chatter 2-18

Get: A (virtual) all-access pass to Elizabeth Taylor’s closet with this interactive slideshow. And yes, it’s as over-the-top and fabulous as you would imagine.

Check Out: Ten years of front-row celebrities at Marc Jacobs. From Jay-Z and Beyoncé to Sofia Coppola, his shows have been quite the celebrity magnet.

Prepare: For the sweet vocal stylings of Adele. That’s right, our favorite songstress is back in the studio making music – so much for that five-year hiatus (phew).

Know: Alasdhair (a.k.a. Mr. Stella McCartney) was named the new creative director of Hunter. Talk about a fashion power couple.

From e-magazines to Playboy fashion, here's what we're buzzing about this week

BLG_1258

Watch: The queen of the iconic wrap dress discuss forty years in the business, Fashion Week, and her everyday inspirations and addictions (excuse us as we obsess).

Check Out:The Edit,’ Net-A-Porter’s (free) weekly online magazine. Thursdays just got a little more exciting.

Know: The Marc Jacobs shows have been postponed. We’re not panicking, but we may have to rethink Valentine’s Day.

Meet: The late Zelda Wynn Valdes, a fashion designer whose clients included Dorothy Dandridge, Ella Fitzgerald – and Hugh Hefner. Yep, Valdes created the first ever Playboy Bunny costume.

From the flu to Smurf® fashion, here’s what we’re buzzing about this week

BLG-1235 Chitter Chatter 2-4

Watch:Le Look Smurfette” – the first-ever Smurf fashion show at NYFW. Who says models have to be 5’10”?

Check Out: The lucky charms and pre-show rituals of fashion’s finest designers. With so much riding on those shows, we’d be superstitious, too.

Hear: What Karl Lagerfeld has to say about the FLOTUS’ new ’do. We (respectfully) disagree, Karl.

Know: Not even the fashion elite are exempt from the flu epidemic. If you’re heading to NYFW, we suggest packing lots of hand sanitizer with those stilettos.

From fashion IQs to movie costumes, here’s what we’re buzzing about this week

attachment

Get Ready: To be shocked. Anna Dello Russo was caught wearing sneakers. We repeat: SNEAKERS. And here we thought she slept in heels.

Know: Raf Simons is dabbling in costume design (for the second time), designing clothes for Sigourney Weaver’s character in the upcoming Luca Guadagnino film, Body Art. How awesome would it be if he bedazzled her lips like the models in his Spring 2013 Paris runway show?

Test: Your fashion IQ. After taking this exam, we like to think of ourselves as a sort of style genius. Take that, SAT scores.

Check Out: Miuccia Prada’s costume sketches for The Great Gatsby. May can’t come soon enough.

From haircuts to reality shows, here's what we're buzzing about this week

F145942542

Know: Cosmopolitan magazine has landed a reality show on CBS – and you can bet we’ll be watching.

See: The FLOTUS’ new ‘do. We’re mixed on the idea of bangs, but when they’re presidential bangs? What’s not to love?

Try: Not to cry – Alexander McQueen has canceled their Fall 2013 runway show. The reason? Sarah Burton will be on maternity leave. And while we guess that’s an acceptable excuse, it still hurts, Sarah. It still hurts.

Mourn: Beloved “Dear Abby” advice columnist Pauline Phillips, who passed away at 94 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Her spirit and snappy advice will be greatly missed.

From Kate Middleton to Destiny’s Child, here’s what we’re buzzing about this week

BLG-1184 Chitter Chatter 1-14

Find Out: What your bag-holding style says about you. We’re all about the arm-crook hook (but truth be told, we’re often a schlepper).

Know: Justin Timberlake has (finally) returned to making music and we couldn’t be more excited. Move over Justin Beiber, the king of pop is back.

Think: JT’s return to the music scene is the best news ever? Think again. For the first time in eight years, Destiny’s Child will be working on a track together. This just might be bigger than Blue Ivy’s conception.

See: Kate Middleton’s first official royal portrait. We’re not sure it does the Duchess justice, but hey, we’re no Renoir.

Watch: Romeo Beckham’s full SS 2013 Burberry ad. Ten years from now, we’re betting he and Suri Cruise will become the newest fashion power couple. Posh and Becks who?

Guess: where J. Lo’s famous plunging green-and-blue Versace gown (you know the one she wore to the Grammys?) resides. On a mannequin in her at-home spa. #Jealous.

Think: most fashion celebs tower over you? Think again. This fashion height index proves most are of average height or shorter. But hey, that’s what heels are for – right ladies?

Know: word is Jay-Z will write the score for the much-anticipated movie, The Great Gatsby. Is there anything Hova can’t do? (We’re guessing no.)

Take: A virtual tour of designer Tanya Taylor’s studio space. Yep, we’re officially obsessed with her style (as is just about every fashion insider).

Know: Gender-bending model Andrej Pejić has made fashion history by being the first-ever androgynous male to grace Elle’s cover – and trust us, it’s worth picking up.

Congratulate: Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll on their December nuptials. The best part? (Well, aside from the thought of Kate taking “Rocknroll” as her last name.) It’s rumored that Leonardo DiCaprio was the one to give her away. Looks like she finally let go, Jack.

Watch: Lady Gaga’s upcoming documentary by fashion photographer Terry Richardson. Now, this should be interesting… and probably weird.
