Read All About It: Louis Vuitton’s Fashion Photography

Meet the newest way to add luxe to your library. French fashion house Louis Vuitton is releasing a $130 limited edition fashion photography book this fall.

According to WWD, Louis Vuitton Fashion Photography will feature world-renowned fashion photographers such as Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, Helmut Newton, and Annie Leibovitz. Inside you’ll find 200 iconic Louis Vuitton images, spanning everything from last month’s Vogue feature to an ad from 1954. The title will be available in both French and English, and to top it off, readers can choose from three different recognizable LV covers from Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean, or Bert Stern.

If you need me, I’ll be dusting. Where? One spot on my bookshelf and another for my future Monogram Vernis.

Christophe Lemaire Says Goodbye to Hermès

Ladies and gentlemen, Christophe Lemaire has left the house – the house of Hermès, that is. The label just announced that the artistic director of womenswear will show his final collection for Spring/Summer 2015 during Paris Fashion Week this October.

Barbie Lagerfeld: A Doll You’ll Want to Display

Barbie may be turning 55 this year, but her latest look – a white ponytail – could make you think she’s even older. No, Mattel isn’t releasing a "Granny Barbie." Rather, designer Karl Lagerfeld is collaborating with the toymaker to release a doll in his likeness this fall.

Karl is no stranger to non-fashion collaborations. You may recall his Diet Coke bottle designs from a few years back, and in 2017 he plans to open a hotel in Macau, China.

"Barbie Lagerfeld" will be part of the Collector Series, donning the designer’s signature getup: a black blazer, a white high-collared shirt, black skinny jeans, a necktie, sunglasses, booties, and, from the looks of the illustration, mini fingerless gloves. No word yet on when or where she will launch, but I’m sure countless collectors (and eBay resellers) will be at the ready to buy this petite version of Karl.

Try Your Luck: Introducing the FENDI-ing Machine

The clever crew at FENDI just struck pure genius. With a great play on words and an even better take on “fast fashion,” the luxe fashion house has coined the very first ”FENDI-ing Machine.”

So it’s not actually a machine, but rather a trendy pop-up store located right in the heart of NYC’s fashion hub, SoHo. However, customers can run in and snag a 2Jours or baguette from shelves that resemble large vending machines, complete with keypad and all. They’ll also be greeted with game-room window displays upon arrival, such as a claw-like machine clutching the coveted Buggie bag. The Karl Lagerfeld–inspired version of this Furby-looking bag is rumored to have a wait list 600 people deep (proof that it’s in high demand).

Now, I’ve never had much luck with arcade games. But when they involve this season’s most talked-about accessory? I’m willing to give them a second try.

Acid-Wash Jeans for Men: Yea or Nay?

Just because something looks good on the runway or in a magazine doesn’t necessarily mean it translates into day-to-day wear. Case in point: acid-wash jeans. Sure, they looked great on the popular musicians of the 80s, but it takes a confident man to walk around in them nowadays. And even then, that man would most likely be the subject of a few head tilts. Recently, the Men’s Health Style Team tackled the challenges of modernizing acid-wash jeans.

Jean Savers: 4 Tips to Help Maintain Your Denim

Jeans. You basically live in them. So it’s nothing sort of tragic when your go-to pair starts getting that telltale inner-thigh thinning (we’ve all been there) or starts to lose its perfectly broken-in shape or hue. But fear not. Here are a few quick tips to ensure that those days are far, far away.

Maintain Your Denim

  1. Don’t wash too much. Only launder your jeans when they’re stained or starting to sag.
  2. If you’re concerned about odor, hang your jeans in the bathroom before a shower to freshen them up with damp steam. Or go ahead and freeze them in a plastic bag for a day or two.
  3. When you do have to subject your denim to the spin cycle, turn it inside out and use cold water to maintain the color. If it’s your first-ever wash, try vinegar instead of detergent. The acid helps set the hue.
  4. Keep machine drying to a minimum. Toss the jeans in for ten minutes on high, then hang them upside down to air-dry. Or, if you don’t have time to air-dry, choose the lowest possible heat setting.

Need a fresh pair of jeans? Our 7 For All Mankind Women and 7 For All Mankind Men Boutiques opened Wednesday, July 16, at 11AM ET.

Charleston Style Essentials: The Stars of Southern Charm Spill

It doesn’t take much to get us totally hooked on a Bravo show. Needless to say, the network’s latest creation, Southern Charm, won us over completely. For the uninitiated, the series follows a handful of dapper bachelors navigating the society scene in Charleston, South Carolina. At the center of it all, and often providing the laughs, are the show’s two youngest gents, Craig Conover and Shep Rose. We caught up with them to chat about their newfound fashion fame and what you need to get by (other than charm) in sunny Charleston.

Cara Delevingne Singing Karaoke? So Kawaii

The award for this week’s best dose of random can be confidently awarded to Cara Delevingne. With the help of her self-grooming brows, emojis fit for a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper, and the lyrical stylings of LL Cool J, the supermodel lip-synced “Control Myself” for a LOVE magazine feature titled “caraoke!

A play on the time-honored Japanese tradition of karaoke, the viral video features teleprompter-style text running across the screen as the pretty Brit performs with a green wig and colorful vinyl raincoat on a pile of wafer candy.

If you find yourself snoozing like Cara on the morning of her Vogue interview, look no further than this bubbly clip to wake you up.
