How to Get a Good Night’s Sleep (Sans Tossing)
You don’t have to be a scientist to know that a proper night’s sleep is super important. But that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to achieve. So, we have a one-week challenge for you: go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Stick to this schedule and follow these tips. Then report back.
Buy just-right bedding. Sensitive skin? Try down alternative. Live somewhere warm? Make sure your blanket is lightweight and breathable.
Charge your smartphone in a different room. Every time your email buzzes, it disrupts your sleep cycle.
Read for at least 15 minutes. We’re talking beach reads here. Nothing too stimulating. The idea is to relax your brain. (Cue Fifty Shades.)
Keep an eye on the thermostat. Find a temperature that works for you. Too-warm or too-cool temps will disturb your shut-eye.
