Just Don’t Wear White: Colors to Try at Fall Weddings

Short of attempting to upstage the bride, there’s no shame in wanting to be the best-dressed wedding guest. The key to claiming that title this fall? Color. But there’s no need to stick to the tried-and-true autumnal hues. Instead, take your cues from Pantone‘s hot colors for fall.

Emerald: Picked as the Pantone Color of the Year for 2013, you can’t go wrong in this rich shade of green. Layer on the luxe with equally decadent gold jewelry.

Koi: Prominent on Pantone’s fall color palette is this twist on traditional orange. Eye-catching with no additional adornment, you can stand out with minimal accessories. Stick to gold or bronze for your clutch and shoes.

Samba: Like its name, this color should make you want to hit the dance floor. An energetic shade of red, you can keep your look simple or adopt a more-is-more attitude and adorn yourself with a statement necklace or strappy open-toe booties.

Mykonos Blue: Echoing the calm depths of the Mediterranean, what’s not to love about this shade of blue? Play up the nautical aspect with white or cream accessories. Or if you’d rather do silver or gold – go ahead. Both metallics work equally well.

Our For Every Fall Wedding: Be the Best-Dressed Guest Boutique opens Tuesday, September 24, at 11AM ET.
