Sure, trends come and go – but if the collections at S/S 2014 NYFW taught us anything, it’s that there are a select few fads that have serious staying power.
Just check out these six fashions from last season that, according to the runways, will be back big time next spring.
Light and breezy, wide-leg trousers were summer’s preferred substitute for flowy dresses – and come spring, they’ll be making a triumphant return.
Had enough of peplum tops? We thought not. Feminine and flattering, the peplum silhouette is on its way to becoming a wardrobe classic.
Full of It
Skintight minis, say what? Full, feminine skirts were a huge hit this year, and this waist-nipping style isn’t done dominating the market.
It seems wardrobes everywhere were more than ready for a little palette cleanser. And after fall and winter’s rich hues, they’ll be ready for round two.
Cut Out for Spring
Discreet peekaboos proved to be a warm-weather favorite this past season, and if the runways are to be believed, you’ll be flashing some skin next spring, too.
Cream of the Crop
Keep doing those sit-ups through winter. When the warm weather hits, crop tops are set to be popping up everywhere again.
