Our Fashion Director On Style Lessons with Mira Duma
I’ll admit it: I’m obsessed – and it takes a lot for me to become obsessed with someone’s style. But if there’s one person we should all be taking style cues from, it’s Russia’s pint-sized It girl and Buro 24/7 editor, Miroslava (Mira) Duma.
The street style favorite (you can find her at Fashion Week surrounded by a herd of photographers) can pull off anything – no matter how risky – and still look completely adorable. Head-to-toe houndstooth. Leather overalls. Chanel couture as streetwear. She’s done it all.
“There’s a Russian saying that I live by,” Mira says. “The one who doesn’t try anything doesn’t make mistakes. So I like to take risks.”
The takeaway? Be adventurous with your style. Try something new, mix and match with abandon, and act like you know what you’re doing – even if you don’t.
