Easy Transition: Take Your Summer Dresses Through to Fall

Okay. So you just bought a dress you love, and you wish you could get more use out of it. Solution: follow these tips and wear on – no style sacrificed.

Summer to Fall

1. Layer, layer, layer.
When the temps begin to drop, don’t immediately put your dresses into storage. Instead, let the cardigan become your best friend. Try a nubby boyfriend cardi belted over a breezy shift for the just-right mix of cozy and ethereal.

2. Cover up.
Ah, tights. They make every windy fall day that much better. Just slip on a thin pair during the warmer fall months and switch to a thicker, opaque style when the first chilly day sets in.

3. Trade flats for boots.
Leather or suede. No matter which combination you choose, these shoes instantly add cool-weather polish to the flirtiest of dresses. Start with booties, then work your way to tall riding boots with thick socks during the colder months. Your feet will stay nice and cozy while looking super stylish.
