As if there wasn’t enough reason to keep your laptops and cell phones close by (those Instagram-worthy moments always happen on the fly), there’s now even more incentive to keep Facebook and Twitter up – at least when the boss isn’t looking.

Starting tomorrow, we’re debuting The Rue Sprint, an exclusive Boutique open to our social media fans only. Once a day over the course of the month, we’ll feature a so-good-you’ll-have-to-do-a-double-take product that will leave your friends green with envy – and your closet a whole lot happier.

Just keep your eyes peeled on our Twitter account, Facebook page, and here on the blog. Each day, The Rue Sprint link will be posted on one of those channels, meaning it’s the only way you’ll have access to these can’t-miss Boutiques (and you never know where it will show up next).

What are you hoping you’ll find in The Rue Sprint? Tell us in the comments, or tweet us with #RueSprint at @ruelala.

With Thanksgiving (and, sigh, leftovers) a thing of the past, gift-giving season’s now 100% in effect.

First order of business? Naturally, it’s making “The List” – and we’ve totally got you covered. Just click on the above image, print it out, pour yourself one very festive cup of hot cocoa (because, priorities), and – without further ado – it’s time to get listing.

Some say Hanukkah’s giftiness was created as a response to the retail-heavy festivities of Christmas – it doesn’t have the same religious significance as Yom Kippur or Passover.

But regardless, ever since I was a little kid I’ve loved everything that comes with the eight-day celebration. Crisp golden latkes heaped with applesauce. That sweet little box of multicolored candles. The simple act of taking the menorahs (yes, plural!) out of the hall closet. And – of course – the presents.

This year, Hanukkah comes early – sundown on December 8 – so I’m already well into checking off my gift lists. Below, peek at eight day’s worth of go-to gifts (including two DIYs that cost under $10…. shh).

Day One
Cookie mix in a mason jar. I plan on gifting this perfectly buttery sugar cookie mix – complete with Star of David cookie cutters – to the family friend who’s hosting this year’s annual Hanukkah party.

Day Two
Cozy cashmere throw. Paired with a box of spiced hot cocoa and a New York Times bestseller, this luxe blanket is the ultimate cozy-day gift for Mom.

From the softer-than-soft feel to the luxurious look, there’s no denying that cashmere is a cold-weather must. But what you didn’t know? Here I unravel five lesser-known truths about the textile.

1. “Cashmere” derives from Kashmir – the region in southern Asia that first exported it.

2. The yarn comes from the fine undercoat fibers of the cashmere goat.

3. No wrinkles here – pack plenty of scarves, sweaters, tees, and more for throw-on-and-go holiday travel.

4. Cashmere becomes softer with age (yes, you heard right), so stock up.

5. This textile warms in winter and cools in spring for year-round wear and double the use.

Try: An oversized blazer with a great bra for a festive occasion, à la Gwen at the AMAs. Or try it with a tank, if you’re scared to take the plunge.

Display: Everything. It’s gone beyond closets. We’re dying over RHOBH‘s Yolanda and her color-coordinated transparent fridge.

Watch: Hitchcock stars relive their most terrifying movie moments. And then catch up on the classics (we’d start with Rear Window + The Birds) before Hitchcock debuts this weekend.

Sip:The Dirty.”  It’s a shot of espresso between two layers of chilled milk. All the fuel you need to stay up + shop.

From boots fit for a good old fashioned New England snowdrift to an “heirloom” watch (for girls who don’t like waiting around), here’s a look at all the lovely things I’ll be snapping up off of Rue this week.

From left to right:

Rotary men’s watch. The heirloom-watch look? With a classic leather band and old-school Roman numerals, this timeless ticker is how I plan to achieve it (and without that whole waiting-around-to-inherit part). Our Arm Candy: Stackable Bracelets & Watches Boutique opens Tuesday, November 27, at 11AM ET.

French Connection dress. Hello, holiday party (or New Years party… or any party) no-brainer. Our French Connection Women Boutique opens Tuesday, November 27, at 11AM ET.

Sorel boot. A New England snowdrift? In these take-no-prisoners lace-ups, bring it on. Our Sorel Men & Women Boutique opens Monday, November 26, at 11AM ET.

Ah, Christmastime in New York City. There’s nothing quite like it. The glittering lights on the Rockefeller Center tree. A chill in the air as you saunter from destination to destination, steaming cup of cocoa in hand.

It’s one of my fondest childhood memories (even the four-hour car rides were met with giddy anticipation). So I was thrilled to hear we were pairing up with luxury charity auction site Charitybuzz – which has raised more than $65 million for nonprofits worldwide by auctioning exclusive access to the world’s biggest celebs and brands – to offer a holiday-in-the-city experience to remember. Think a private dance lesson with the Rockettes, tickets to see them perform at Radio City Music Hall, a behind-the-scenes tour, and (oh-so-much) more.

It’s must-see, must-do New York at its best – and, as if that phrase didn’t already contain enough musts, I’ll throw in another plus: benefits go to a nonprofit charity, Garden of Dreams.

Since its inception in 2006, Garden of Dreams has worked closely with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company to help make dreams come true for children facing obstacles. Creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and beyond, they’ve helped more than 215,000 tri-state area children persevering through illness, homelessness, poverty, and tragedy.

An unmatched holiday experience that benefits a cause? I can’t think of a better way to channel the spirit of the season.

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular Experience opens Monday, November 26, at 11AM ET.

Sure, we love gifts of luxury. We love thoughtful gifts that speak to a need (finally, a decent coffee machine!). But there’s something about a present that packs an emotional punch. Here are five tips to getting – stylishly – heartfelt for the holidays.

1. Time for a photo op. Too often, old pictures end up piled in shoe boxes. Choose a photo that’s curling at the corners and give it the frame it deserves. We’re partial to silver and leather.

2. Charmed, we’re sure.  We’ve long been fans of the charm bracelet, and we’ve fallen hard for gifting PANDORA’s modern bracelets and necklaces. The right charm (say, a baby carriage with a pink or blue accent stone) commemorates a moment perfectly. And there’s nothing like starting someone out with a cord and her first charms.

3. Engrave – to raves. There’s something magical about a gift that carries a personal message (literally). Whether it’s a watch case or the border of a picture frame, adding a quote or even just “XO” and your name takes it to another level.

4.  Get the news. We love giving a newspaper from the day you met, or the day the giftee was born.  For a fun, bonus add-on, pick up a pair of luxe slippers or a chic welcome mat.

5. Make it happen. You have to love a handmade gift. But for those less-crafty types (guilty!), why not handcraft the card? It can be as easy as printing out an iPhone snap of the two of you, pasting it onto a simple notecard, and adding a sweet message with a Sharpie.

Our PANDORA Boutique opens on Saturday, November 24, at 11AM ET.
