The end of summer is nostalgic in every single way but one – the joy we get from looking forward to a season of new outfits. Sure, bikini weather has made its exit, but we’re more than ready for some new wardrobe staples that are just as easy to wear now, and even more rewarding come chilly weather. From long-sleeved and cool weather-appropriate to sleeveless and perfect for layering, one thing’s for certain – these totally transitional numbers are giving us instant gratification, as well as the perfect canvas for layering on cable-knit sweaters and cozy scarves come late fall.
Fall’s indecisive weather makes everyday outfit choices all the more interesting. For warm, sunny fall days with just a touch of chill, throw on an effortless dress then pile on the extras (think light scarves, blazers, and cardigans) to stay cozy indoors (A/C blasting) or out.
There’s no denying that in a few short weeks, all signs of summer will have disappeared completely – and with the warm weather on hold, we’ll be embracing cold weather staples to take our dresses from fall all the way through winter. Add on tights and leggings, comfy boots, heavier knit scarves, cable-knits and hats – the cozier the better.
