Sequins & Stripes Talks Summer-to-Fall Style

Don’t you love when your favorite summer staples can carry into fall? I recently switched over my closet and was dreaming up ways to carry my chambray, gingham, polka dots, and skirts into cooler days, plus a few new arrivals for fall.

Chambray
A fun way to to pull chambray into fall is with a chic blazer. This Tory Burch Chambray-ish Blazer is a perfect option for fall.

Cashmere
I stock up on cable sweaters when the weather gets cool, and cashmere is an essential investment for every fashionista’s wardrobe. J.Crew Cashmere Cable Sweaters come in a slew of gorgeous colors and are perfect to pair with everything.

Gingham
This happens to be one of my favorite patterns for summer days. I typically pair mine with jean shorts, but I’m looking forward to tucking them into skirts and trousers come fall. J.Crew’s Perfect Shirt in Mini-Gingham is a personal favorite of mine.

A Pleated Skirt
This is perfect for gallivanting around the city or popping into meetings, and it looks great with ballet flats or the perfect pair of riding boots. I stock up on a ton for summer and will definitely be wearing them into fall. This Ralph Lauren-esque pleated skirt is a current favorite.

Accessories
Some of my favorite fall purchases happen to be accessories, and I am dying for a fun collared necklace, golden studs for every day, a timeless watch, and a new printed iPhone® case.

Arm Candy
Investing in a Coach bag can pretty much ensure year-round use. I love their Ramblers Legacy in a classic camel leather.

Ballet Flats
These tend to be my staple season after season. The fact that polka dots have been popular all summer long and are big for fall make these Madewell Sidewalk Skimmers a wardrobe staple!
