To say we’re excited (for you) is an understatement. So we sat down with the über luxe Upper East Side hotel, The Surrey, where the winner and their special someone will be staying, to give you an inside look at the lush accommodations.
Here’s what hotel insiders are saying:
It’s boutique – and super luxurious.
Created by interior designer Lauren Rottet to reflect a timeless residential townhouse, The Surrey’s 189 salons and suites are all custom designed – and decked out with Duxiana beds, Pratesi robes, and SFERRA linens. The hotel’s modernization in 2009 left the traditional Beaux-Arts design intact with the addition of a collection of 31 original modern artworks, a Private Roof Garden, and Bar Pleiades.
Relaxation (and fine dining) comes easy.
The Surrey features Michelin-starred Café Boulud, directed by Grand Chef Daniel Boulud, which serves traditional French cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients. This year, the hotel welcomed Cornelia Spa back to New York with the reopening of Cornelia Spa at The Surrey, an intimate pied-à-terre oasis providing curated treatments paired with botanical tastings.
Everything’s tailored to you.
The hotel strives to provide one-of-a-kind experiences for guests. Beginning weeks before arrival, stays are tailored according to guests’ personal preferences to make sure everything is truly customized, and to ultimately create a lasting memory.
The city’s your oyster – and an oasis awaits at home.
An ideal day in the city begins with breakfast in Café Boulud: a piping hot coffee, a signature soft-boiled egg, and a fresh pastry. Then off to the Whitney Museum of American Art for the latest exhibition, followed by lunch at Sant Ambroeus. An afternoon shopping excursion to a few boutiques on Madison Avenue should follow, then a freshly muddled lemonade savored on The Surrey’s Private Roof Garden as the sun sets over the skyscrapers.
