Like ceremonious conclusions to magical summer days, August’s rich, glowing sunsets are as soothing as they are dramatic – and movie credits wouldn’t be out of place following them. While this sweet phase of summer may be fleeting (sigh), it’s easily preservable. Look to accent pieces in sunset-inspired yellows, oranges, strawberry reds, and more, for basking in that same carefree warmth in home, year round.
Rugs. A bright, solid rug (like the strawberry red one above) draws a room together effortlessly – not to mention keeps things toasty underfoot.
Pillows. Add a couple of bold pillows to make any old couch instantly sunnier.
Artwork. This is your opportunity to go for another solid statement (like the yellow-hued painting above), or to set the tone with a literal depiction of a sunset.
Accent cubes. Nestle into a monochromatic room for an instant hit of heat, or into a room already familiar with warm hues to boost the sunny disposition even further.
