Like finding the vintage leather jacket amid the racks of a second-hand shop, discovering new brands gives me the ultimate thrill. And this week, I’m loving Rue Debuts IMPROVD and Nicholas K. With artful draping and edgy asymmetrical hems, they make avant-garde, runway looks wearable – not to mention roll-out-of-bed easy.

So I’m making room in my (too small) closet – these are the pieces I’m coveting, now.

The Ruched LBD – Covered up in the front with a surprise low-cut back, this dress certainly knows how to make an exit. Better yet? The ruching makes it uber flattering.

The Leather Jacket – Layered over summery dresses or paired with a relaxed pair of jeans, this asymmetrical jacket lends the perfect amount of edge (and warmth).

The Asymmetrical Sweater – This loose, heather grey piece just screams brunches on the patio. Layer it over leggings or denim for a way to look modern, while still feeling comfy.
