It’s Bastille Day

For all the non-Francophiles out there, Bastille Day or La Fête Nationale (as the French call it) commemorates to the first anniversary of the storming of Bastille during the French Revolution. So put on your best Breton stripe because it’s time to celebrate all things French!

Indulge: Macarons
With a sorbet color palette and ethereal texture, these Parisian confections are practically a synonym for happiness.

Make: Vichyssoise
Or try your hand at beef bourguignon. Just pick up a Julia Child cookbook like Mastering the Art of French Cooking and voilà.

Watch: Amélie
It’s one of our favorite French films – and not just because we consider Audrey Tautou a major style muse.

Toast: Champagne
When the label has a capital “C,” that means it’s produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France.

Say: Cheers
Raise your glass and repeat after us, Santé.
