Nothing spices up the middle of a workweek like a little girl power and cupcakes – just one of the many reasons I was thrilled to attend the kickoff event for SheSays Boston.

A global organization founded to help more women rise to the top of the creative and marketing industries, SheSays launched their Boston chapter with a screening of MissRepresentation, a documentary that explores women’s under-representation in positions of influence and power in America.

From designers to copywriters, women from Boston’s creative and marketing industries came out to see the award-winning film, do a little networking, and partake in the tasty treats, leaving with a sense of empowerment (and probably a slight sugar rush).
