Skin Renewal: Tips & Tricks for a Glowing Complexion
Spring demands a fresh-faced look (no more wind- and weather-beaten skin), so we asked exhale’s National Director of Spa, Laura Benge, to give us the scoop on how to prep ourselves for a flawless spring and summer.
Rue La La: We’d love a facial every day, but realistically, how often should we get one? What about massages?
Laura: Typically every 4-6 weeks for a facial is best, while a monthly massage helps to decrease stress and relax the muscles. When you’re in a regular routine, your body comes to expect the amazing health benefits. Of course, a weekly massage and facial sounds like heaven!
Rue La La: What skincare products are on your can’t-live-without list?
Laura: For me, it’s not so much about a particular product, but a routine that works for your individual skin concerns. Personally, I’m in a Sircuit groove (a brand we carry at exhale). I love the X-trap Cleanser (a gentle cleanser with shea butter) and Sircuit’s Agent, a hydrating, anti-aging serum for skin that still gets the occasional blemish.
Rue La La: Getting us out of the house in the morning isn’t easy. How can we freshen up at home in a pinch?

Rue La La: We’re firm believers in pampering, but we’ve been asked more than once: why take the time and money to do it? Can you explain why it’s so important for our wellbeing?
Laura: Self-renewal isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. When you develop a routine that works for you, you not only look better, you feel better.
