Another Dose of Spring Cheer
Discover a new personal fragrance for spring. There’s nothing like the power of changing up your signature scent to make you feel like you’ve just undergone a seasonal makeover. Head to the fragrance counter and try out several new ones on test strips. When you feel like you may have found your new scent soulmate, spray it on your wrist and wear it around for an hour to see how the chemistry of your skin affects the fragrance.
Open up the windows to let the fresh spring air in. I love doing this the moment I wake up in the morning – it’s almost as energizing as my morning espresso! Take a moment to stretch your muscles while you feel the cool breeze against your skin.
Spring clean the closet. Now’s the time to take stock of your wardrobe and purge the items you no longer wear. My rule of thumb is if I haven’t worn it in the last three months, or it’s a summer item that I didn’t wear last year, it’s time to donate. And now that you’ve got all this freed-up space in the closet, it’s the perfect time to make a list of the items you need to shop for in the coming season!
Swap out wintry scents for floral candles around the house. I’m a believer that the space we live in has a huge affect on our state of mind, and there’s nothing like the scent of gardenia or violets wafting through my house to induce total spring frenzy.
