We love Anh’s blog and her uber crisp personal style. The woman-on-the-go takes a refreshing and upbeat approach to corporate dressing – which we love. So naturally, we were thrilled when she curated our Designers To Watch Boutique, featuring Maggie Ward, David Lerner, and JNBY.

Rue La La: Do you have a fashion mantra that guides your own personal style?
Anh: Yes! Wear what works for your body and you’ll always look and feel amazing.

Rue La La: You work in a conservative industry – how do you manage to keep your look so fresh and modern?
Anh: Luckily for me, I can be a lot more creative when it comes to getting dressed for the office. I have fun exploring different styles, shapes, and trends, first by looking for pieces that don’t break the bank. If it works, I consider investing in a similar item of better quality. There’s one rule though – when it comes to work travel and big meetings in the conference room, I keep it simple and classic.

Rue La La: Any tips for bringing personality into traditional corporate attire?
Anh: Accessories! I like pairing even the most conservative, work-appropriate outfit with a fun selection of jewelry or a statement-making pair of pumps.

Rue La La: We all have our standbys. What are three pieces you think every woman should have in their arsenal?
Anh: Something classic, something ultra fabulous, and something perfect for daily wear. For me, the three items that fit the bill: timeless black pointed-toe pumps, a terrific vintage suede and fur jacket, and comfortable skinny jeans.

Rue La La: Tell us about the the labels in this Boutique – Maggie Ward, David Lerner, and JNBY. What is it about each of these brands that catches your eye?
Anh: Maggie Ward brings just a touch of attitude to modern sportswear. I’m a huge fan of the current Fall collection too! David Lerner makes fabulous leggings – it’s no wonder the line is known and loved for its updated basics. JNBY delivers a sophisticated take on an urban and architectural aesthetic.

Rue La La: Not to choose favorites or anything – but what are the absolute standouts to you in this Boutique?
Anh: I instantly fell in love with the sweater by Maggie Ward – it’s perfect for layering! The JNBY waffle-knit asymmetrical sweater is in the most drool-worthy toffee caramel shade and the David Lerner faux leather leggings are surprisingly comfortable. Those are definitely my favorites.

Rue La La: When you hear about a hot new designer, what’s the first thing you look for?
Anh: I look for a “wear for work AND for play” aesthetic. With a San Francisco-sized closet, I need all the items in my wardrobe to be as versatile as possible.
