Weekend Warrior: Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor, who recently designed a pretty silk blouse to raise awareness and funds for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, walks us through her perfect weekend.

On Saturday mornings, my husband and I get up early with the kids in Brooklyn, New York. I see my 4-year-old twin girls and my 2-year-old son waiting for us to get up and make them breakfast. They love pancakes!

During the day, we hang together as a family. I usually throw on AG grey skinny jeans, a signature Rebecca Taylor striped tee, and my Balenciaga wedge sandals and we head to the park or the aquarium. Later in the day, we might stop for ice cream at The Chocolate Room, my favorite shop in Park Slope. I usually get a mint chocolate chip sundae.

My ideal Saturday evening is a night out with my husband [illustrator Wayne Pate] at the Monkey Bar or Balthazar in Manhattan (I love the oysters at Balthazar). I would definitely change into one of my black Prada dresses and my favorite Chloé boots. I love to toughen up a classic feminine look with edgier pieces.

Sunday is often a repeat of Saturday! Spending time with family is what my weekends are all about. In the summer, we hang out at our Shelter Island home and I also love to take family vacations to Turks & Caicos and Europe throughout the year.
