RUE TO-DO: OCTOBER

STAY: At the St. Regis New York Hotel, where they’ve created the suite of our haute couture dreams, literally. The hotel’s new fashion-centric Dior Suite is a one-bedroom replica of the Dior atelier in Paris, complete with French furniture and Dior sketches. Just point us in the direction of check-in.

READ: The Impossible Collection of Fashion by Valerie Steele, a stylish page-turner chronicling the 100 most iconic dresses of the 20th century – think page after page of Dior, YSL, and Balenciaga gowns. It’s a good read and the perfect coffee table topper.

VISIT: The Elizabeth Taylor Collection, a decadent display of the late icon’s jewelry and other memorabilia. Not only does it give a rare glimpse inside the legend’s lavish lifestyle, it also carries on her charitable legacy donating a portion of the proceeds to The Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation.

SEE: The Martin Scorsese-directed documentary, George Harrison: Living in the Material. Featuring home movies, interviews, and previously unseen footage of the late Beatle, the film promises to be rich in music and 60s style.

SHOP: Kate Moss’ new 22-piece jewelry line, Kate Moss for Fred. Each piece draws inspiration from the supermodel’s personal tattoos of anchors and stars. We must admit, it’s the best alternative to inking we’ve ever seen.
