The Crib Sheet: Our Final Sale Survival Guide
The Final Sale is here. For the uninitiated, take all of the delicious Rue La La intensity we love and then turn the volume way up. Because The Final Sale isn’t like any other Boutique on Rue La La. It’s 30-plus brands all in one place at final sale prices. And it’s not for the faint of heart. Here’s how to emerge victorious:
Before the doors open:
1. Make sure your account information is up to date. You don’t want to realize you don’t have a credit card listed, or the one you have is expired in the heat of your shopping. Having updated information entered will also enable you to use Quick! Buy It. (More on that below.)
2. Make a list of your favorite Rue La La designers, and check your closet to see what size you are. Also, if you have a dress and/or skirt length you like, take a measurement.
Once inside:
1. When you get inside the Boutique, scan the list of designers and go quickly to the one you love most. We’ve also added categories, so now you can shop by, for example, just “men’s fashion” or just “jewelry.”
2. Hit the “view all” option so you get a bird’s-eye view of all the offerings in your category.
3. Move fast. Really. We can’t stress this enough. The prices are phenomenal. Leisurely browsing is not your friend.
4. Once you find your must-have item, check out right away with Quick! Buy It. With All-Day Shipping, once you place your first order of the day, Standard shipping is free for all orders after that! It’s better to check out multiple times than lose a treasure.
5. Repeat, starting with 1.
When you’re done:
1. Sit back.
2. Call a friend.
3. Gloat shamelessly.

As per usual, an item in my cart disappeared within a minute. I thought you fixed this! This site gets more and more frustrating.
I agree!!! I had something on the quick! buy it! and the item was sold out eventhough I was checking out!!
That is frustrating. While it’s true that a Rue La La offering isn’t yours until it’s en route, if you use Quick! Buy It, you can get what you want in a near-instant. We hope you try this out, and we think you’ll love the feature.

What a huge disappointment! Absolutely nothing that I wanted to purchase. Brands, with a few exceptions, were less than stellar. What has happened to Rue La La? It use to be classy not trendy.
I scored a pair of hunter boots cheap too! This is the 1st time I was able to buy something I wanted, but having some credit in my account made it easy to use the QUICK BUY IT!

I was getting 2 different FCUK dress once I had them both in my shopping cart I hit quick buy, but one was sold out by that time
Still glad I was at least able to purchase 1! People are quick out there!!
Also disappointed in the brands. What happened to heart stopping designers like Botkier, DVF, BCBG Max Azria, Stewart Weitzman, Guiseppe Zanotti, Michael Kors, McQ, etc…I could go on and on. I want style that lasts, not trends that are out tomorrow
By the way, the prices were no more discounted than usual. I already saw half of the items for sale on Ruelala for the same price in individual sales. This didn’t seem like the usual final act sale..they were really great. What happened?

I have yet to make my 1st purchase, but it’s not for lack of finding tons of stuff I want. Can someone answer a question for me? Is your credit card charged upon ordering or at the time of shipment? I can’t wait to buy, but I need to know that first.

Man, that final sale is overwhelming! Tons of sizes were gone by 8:05. I was just SUPER glad I decided to check out the Puma shoes first and snagged two cute pairs because virtually everything was gone 10 minutes later!
What a disappointment. FOR THE 2ND TIME, the FCUK Zig-Zag Studded Clutch I was about to buy disappeared before I could pay. I’m so annoyed, I just want to buy that clutch!
I would love to see more young brands… True Religion and other awesome denim brands that you find at The Buckle or Nordstroms would be nice. Puma is great and I bought 2 pairs at the first boutique

Nope, Boutiques start at the same time all over the country. The doors open at 11AM ET, but in PST, that’s 8AM.
I would love a short by size option … that would prevent me from waisting a lot of time of this site.

I’d love to see a timer function in the shopping cart, similar to Gilt or TicketMaster, even if just one or two minutes. I think this might alleviate some members frustration (as well as mine!). In this case, when time runs out, it is truly OUR loss!

Strong disagree to “holding items.” Quick! Buy It is a MUCH better compromise IMO. Used it for the first time today and it ruled. Now, if only we could go back to cash returns ca. vintage 2008 RLL…

. i was slightly dissapointed with the selections and prices of the final act 1 and 2, some of the items were about the same price as when the first came on ruelala
The worst final sale ever. unorganized, cannot sort by sizes and anyway how many items are there to sell. This is becoming a very stressful experience instead of enjoyable. Plus, in oter web sites, people are more personal. hate it!!!!!
IMO, can’t please them all, all of the time. I didn’t love every brand, but I did love a few, and that was enough to bust my budget anyway.
I keep getting some type of error message or something else that kicks me out of a boutique when I click on it at 11AM ET. Then I have to get back to the site and login.
This is happening every day so I am missing out on MANY items I would buy.
I second (third? fourth?) the request for a sort by size function!
I am new in this site but I love it so far and have seen really cool brands and great prices. The Waiting time would be great since you have time to review the size chart and check on the right size for the brand, since they vary.
My multi-item order was partially shipped. RLL had oversold one item. The $ was refunded but I paid $10 shpg for the other $20 item–I wouldn’t have bought by itself

Bought a DKNY trench and it’s too big. Was there small print somewhere in the boutiques that said these were final sale items – unable to return?
Final Sales usually always mean all sales are final! Thats whats tough about final sales… ebay it!?

I bought 2 pairs of p.l.victoire boots and when they arrived one pair was all scuffed up and the box was used looking. Why is this??? At least they were wine colored with brass buckles so I can pull of the bohemian/rock look. But I should’ve have to.

I love how the other discount sites (ie Ideeli, Hautelook) give you a 15 min window once something is in your cart to buy something. There is a timer in the buy window to tell you how much longer you have before it is released. You need this!!
I just found out today my credit had an expiration date! I had no idea…I guess that’s what I get for not checking the fine print. However, I will be less likely to try buying from RueLaLa even though I do check it nearly every day.
Where can you find out when your credit expires? I’ve been hoarding mine for awhile now, but I can’t find an expiration date anywhere in my account. What’s the deal with that Rue?

I still don’t know why, despite several purchases from RLL, I haven’t gotten email notifications in ages.I contacted customer service, got a few emails, and then nothing. feel like I’ve been missing a lot!
I have had the frustration of being told that my time has expired when I have just entered the site and looked at one item. It has happened too many times. What is that about? I log back in and it happens again. Very frustrating!!
